I know some games that won't run when the disc gets damaged by use because of the disc check protection failing to recognize them as original. My copy of KotOR 1 wouldn't run, but it did after cleaning a small fingerprint out of it. My Need For Speed 4 disc is scratched, and it won't run at all, it's completely dead. And finally my DVD of GTA San Andreas started to tear itself appart. A crack runs through the entire disk radius and if I use it it could explode inside the drive.
Has there been any complains about the disc checks failing to recognice the disc because of use wear?
Is there any problem with the copy protection?

I think you are far afield here. This forum is related to Mass Effect 2 technical problems.

You need to ask in the Mass Effect Tech Forum, not in here. The biggest problem, though, is the counter that keeps track of the installs, and stops after five. (Ask more about that on the correct forum.)

Sorry, my fault.
What I meant was if there has been any problem with MASS EFFECT 2's disc check.
I didn't knew it had an install counter...
I thought that the ME Tech Forum was only for Mass Effect 1 related topics.
