I don't know off the top of my head. I imagine one would simply have to check the 2da files in the 2.1 version of the top hak, no?

Regarding my corset, I am siding towards integrating the straps into the chest and simply adding that as a second version. Playing around with it in tandem with the various options in the CEP makes me side towards not preventing people from using whatever neck parts they like with it (including whatever cute necklaces or chokers I might wish to make for it). If I could have used the shoulder slots, though, I would have. (I mean, who'd wear the standard shoulder parts with a corset anyway?) Anyway, I have both versions looking fairly decent now. I just need to play around with the waist a little so it doesn't clip with Lisa's skirt-robes. The only thing really bothering me at this stage is the fact that, by making the bottom of the corset slide a little over the hips, it may look a little off when a character is moving around. The only ways to get around that would be 1) to raise the bottom of the corset so that it actually stops at waist level; or 2) to divide it into chest and belt parts; or 3) make it a robe (i.e. with skin and bones so I could make the over-pelvis parts move with the pelvis) - but then one wouldn't be able to use the robe-skirts with it. How much does clipping during movement matter to people?  If folks want me to try one of the above solutions, which should it be?  (I should note the the corset looks very pretty with a skirt, inclining me against option three.)

How bad is it?I dont think a small clipping issue would be a big deal.....some belts might cover it up and a player can color in the below clothing to macth the top.I see your point about neclaces since useing that slot would prevent it so i would skip that route.

I like the peice and wouldnt say so if i didnt.I think players will be happy as long as the clipping isnt maxed out.

Oh nice touch on the chest with those straps on the inside......now we have something to make tieing halfings up on the inside of a trunk a little easier.

:)

Honestly? I think it's pretty bad. Here's a pic.

As you can see, it's not atrocious while walking, but during a run the level of clipping is immersion-breaking. So I think it's really down to separating the bottom part of the torso into a belt, even though that will lose the seamlessness, or shortening the corset.

Here is the current version (strapless and strappy) with Lisa's skirts:

yeah ideally would be a bonemesh robe Este, but you made it part based now. The belt will look quite strange cause of the large tilt the hips sit at on the female avatar. I honestly don't know how much more work it is to create IK bones and robe, I have a rather limited grasp of that sort of 3d modelling. I just wanted to say the corsett looks awesomes, the detail is spectacular. I wish you'd make more clothing!

I'm gonna second Calvin and say that, clipping issues notwithstanding, the corset does look awesome, and you have a fantastic talent for this sorta thing.

wooo I love that Este, it's beautiful =)

In the worst case, I'd rather have it with clippin than not at all.

I don't remind seeing this head (on the walk/run comparison). Do you have it somewhere?

About the IK Bone thingy, I'd love to see a simple to follow tutorial on that.

Those clothes look great, Estelindis! I especially like that they have even more detail than Lisa's.

The Bioware clothes, except perhaps some robes, are so low on detail that (N)PCs look quite out of place in newer tilesets.

Your corsets and Six's pirate outfits will make commoner NPCs not stand out so much.

Thanks for the great work!

The pirates I guess will be included in the version of NWN Enhanced.

Wellll... I didn't have web access for the past couple of days, so I'm only able now to get your feedback. Thanks for all the comments, especially the lovely compliments. I'm actually really pleased with how the corset has worked out. :-) Well, except for the awful clipping, of course. Concerning which...

I'm gonna make a shorter version of the corset and see how that goes. (In the meantime, while sans-web, I've made the sleeves. They're off-shoulder and work nicely with either version of the corset. Will post screenies when I've more done.) Maybe, later, I can work out how to make a robe version of the corset you see in the pictures above. I know how robes work in theory, but I've never created one before, so I'd have to spend a while with my nose in the Custom Content Guide, ;-) Incidentally: once I get robes sorted out in my head, I could make a version that has a skirt incorporated, thus getting around the restriction I mentioned earlier. :-)

Jez, the head is just a higher-poly override of standard female human head 14 (if I recall the number correctly). It reuses the Bioware texture. I have a few such heads knocking around on my harddrive. While I made this one as a special head for one of the NPCs in my module, I'd be happy to give it to anyone who wants it. (Some of the others I have were made for Andarian's Sanctum of the Archmage series, so I'd ask him before putting them up on the Vault.) These little projects are just so piecemeal, though, that I always felt I needed a larger collection before I could justify putting it up. (This is in spite of the fact that my giant clock pack started with one cloak!) Most of the stuff I make for my personal module is just to fix little dissatisfactions I have with the looks of individual things.

I've modified the corset not to clip while walking or running. Ideally, I'd like to keep tweaking and tweaking verts, but I've gotta stop somewhere. I find it now looks best with the "blacksmith" belt" but it can be used without a belt as well, and plays nicely with robe skirts too (even if it doesn't look quite as nice when the character is just standing around). I've also gotten a set of sleeves for females made, but no male sleeves yet. I want to eventually have two sleeve variants (long and short) and two bracer variants (over cloth and over skin), but I think I should leave those to the October challenge, as I'm already late enough with my September entry. So the idea for now is to just put up the jacket / corset outfit for the lat month and leave the rest for this month. Here's the long off-shoulder sleeves and non-clipping corset (strapless version) anyway! I expect I'll have to make a variant on the jacket (just slightly different in some ways) to match up with the strappy version.

Is there are word for something even more excellent than excellent?

Six's pirates/commoner clothes are excellent, but your corsets look even better!

Thanks guys! I have to respond to Zwerkules by saying that, if one compares like with like, my male pirate's jacket isn't as hot as Six's at all. :-) But being a woman helps me out a bit when making female clothes, at least (I know the kind of stuff I'd like to wear if *I* was a dashing adventuress), so I happily accept the corset compliments. :-D

Anyway, I will try to finish things up tonight. I still need to make an inventory icon for the belt part of the male jacket, but that'll be quick. The main task remaining after that is to run the models through NWN Armoury and then check whether any of them need to be tweaked to adapt to the different body shapes and sizes of the various races. (I'm also wondering about pheno 2, but that might take longer... Just imagining the corset in pheno 2 is kinda making my mind boggle.)

Truth is if your char is pheno 2, they really do need a corset ;)

But trust me I understand if you don't go there, pheno 2, is generally for me very time consuming, the UVW map seems to always seems to need major tweaking and it's stock female torso model makes me cringe. In my case doing a pheno 2 model easily takes twice as long as pheno 0 and leaves me praying no one looks to hard at her in the light of day.

@cervantes: erm no. To be honest I totally lost interest in this a few weeks ago. I'm very busy with other things and barely capable of following this. Someone else has to step up to continue this, it's not such a big deal and doesn't require much skill. Just a bit of time and motivation, which I no longer have :/

@Jez, sorry to hear this. I hope you get the motivation back soon. You started something grand. :-)

@TheSpiritedLass: I guess we need to get the September challenge packaged up, unless we all just post our submissions to the vault separately. I had given mine to Jez already, but if you need it, or whom ever takes over the CCC let me know.

The overall question is do we continue the CCC after this year (or after the current October Challenge)?

I'm still down to contribute where ever I can.

@Dark Defiance: Personally, I think it would be a real shame to discontinue the CCC. I am certainly willing to spend some time to help keep things going. However, long term, who ever takes the lead (until Jez wishes to reclaim it?) should be someone the group as a whole agrees on? I'm fairly new to the fun here so there probably is a better choice.

Just to be clear (because I am still on my first cup of coffee for the day!), I’m still happy to get the pirates stuff packed and shipped as soon as Jez tells me what needs to be done. However choosing a more permanent lead is something the group needs to weight in on.

@Dark Defiance: Thanks =) but that's the community that's grand when it act as one ;)

@TheSpiritedLass: cool, yes like DF said, you "just" have to collect all submissions, see that everything is in a proper format to be usable in game (check there's no assests overwritting each other like models and textures names and such -> there's a new rule to add here to avoid that) and ideally make a module to display everything. Then of course the lot must be posted on the vault, with a presentation, pictures and nice credit (I didn't do it, but a link to each contributor submissions page would be even better and deserved).
After that, there's PR's work, to keep things rolling and getting new people interested, advertise a little the project to get new people interested, with handy links and such (btw all people liking this should also put links in their signature, there is never enough of that). Ah and there's also to keep track of themes ideas and selection.
I'll PM you a link to download what submissions I have (you'd have to double check if I didn't forget anyone). Im still around anyway, send me a PM in case of need or question =)

And I don't see any valid reason to stop this, as long as some are interested in contributing stuff, no matter how simple or useless that may appear. =)
And this is no one in particular project. That's a community thingy. I've never seen my role as "Lead" but merely as a secretary. I think that's how it should be taken to succeed.

Any further discussion should be taken to main thread instead =) :police:
