Perhaps or it may just be differing camera angles and lighting effects, I'm not sure.

How the character creator effects the look of Hawkes siblings may lead to me starting over a few times when I don't use the default Hawke.

As Face of Evil said earlier you can hear her voice in this clip (@ 3:10), it's far too busy sound wise and too brief for me to try and work out who it might be, anyone else have any idea?.

I too hope there is a "Here's how your family looks" feature in the CC.  I would dislike having to restart just to jump back to the character chreator because Bethany and Carver look odd to me.

I am terrible at guessing VA's.  I have no idea who that is voicing Bethany.  I do think her voice fits her though (Lookwise, since we don't know anything about her personality).

I am kind of curious about Bethany's green robes.  I was under the impression that her green robes were her "end game/ exagerrated version" mage stuff.  Kinda like how Carver has his armor.  But in the exagerrated section, Bethany was wearing her chainmail robe thing.  So, are her green robes out?  Not that I'm complaining, I am just curious.

I'd guess the characters shown in the demos are just placed in those demos, rather than playing at a certain point through the game, possibly explaining the attire of certain characters.

I thought her robes were blue though......, turquoise let's say

I know what you mean dude. I still have hope that this game allows you to chose which sibling to travel with. So that when I play as my male warrior I don't want to feel creeped out when I travel with a gal I find to be the most attractive among the female companions that I'm related to.

I guess you could either

A: Hope she romances an NPC who you could then wish you were
B: Pretend/RP that your Warden has some fun with her somewhere down the line.

Well she's the PC's sister, you can't romance her, yes she is attractive, it is somewhat unfortunate perhaps but there it is.



I'm certainly looking forward to what the sibling dynamic might present and hopefully some more details soon might encourage more discussion here than she is hot and can we.....wink, wink?.

I might be WAY off, but I think Jennifer Hepler wrote Bethany.  I thought I saw it answered on the forums somewhere. 

I am like 99% sure that the writers are different.  I think that was also answered.  I will search for some links.

Turquoise is probably more accurate.

Cool, I was rather intrigued to see if it was the same person, I wonder how much overlap they had to discuss?.  A little different to the other characters to be sure as it wouldn't be so much their interaction as their reactions to given scenarios.

As someone who has at least one attractive half-sister, I can somewhat (but not by much) relate to this. Easy on the eyes, but off-limits on multiple levels.

One way of handling the whole difference between player and player-character interest in the player-character's sister would be to perhaps have an influencing factor in any LIs for her.

And I'm interested in seeing how the sibling relationship works out in the course of DA2. Are we talking closest friends or sibling rivalry? If you want to talk about a character who REALLY can't cut ties with you, it's her.

I can't find the post that named Bethany's writer. But I still believe it is Jennifer Hepler.



That makes sense that their differing reactions would have been discussed, since it seems Carver and Bethany play certain roles in the story. That being said, I hope that they aren't reduced to just their respective story roles when it comes to interaction.



As a side-note, since Bethany has the sense to strap chain mail to her mage robes, will a mage Hawke be able to wear robes with armor-like elements? I like the idea of having mage equipment options that include robes with some armor element as a part of them.

Found it! Go down about halfway and find Jennifer Hepler's first post. She says she wrote Sebastian, some guy they haven't announced yet(But we know who it is now), and Bethany. So glad I found it. That was driving me crazy.
