Still the best looking female in the game then......
Cheers for that one Sethal, added to OP, I wonder if there'll be any more chestroversy?
Cassandra would like to have a word with you.
So that's the reason she's interrogating Varric, maybe becoming Champion of Kirkwall is simply their equivalent of a beauty pageant and we've all assumed it's the PC Hawke that becomes champion, not Bethany.
Still, maybe I should have said companion as I do find her quite aesthetically pleasing too

Found it! Go down about halfway and find Jennifer Hepler's first post. She says she wrote Sebastian, some guy they haven't announced yet(But we know who it is now), and Bethany. So glad I found it. That was driving me crazy.
Good work, info added to OP. Just need some basic character info and a voice actor now.

It does, indeed. But it's the camera's angle that makes it look such.Lord Zeuss wrote...

Some things to consider however:
1. The reviewer only played through once, so he/she didn't interact with Carver. So this could be less of a Bethany thing and more of a sibling thing.
2. It is only one review.
3. Different strokes for different folks. For example, I didn't experience as much Morrigan love as some other forumites.
I will take this as an "Oh, I guess someone didn't enjoy Bethany" rather than a confirmation that she is dull or whatever. I will have to play the game for myself to form opinions about our companions.

I don't think bioware would make a dull character, specially if you're going to spend most of the game with (if you choose to). I've got high hopes for Bethany-Garret and Bethany-Marian interaction
edit: Sleepy = forgets basic English... <_<

She must have somehow gotten her religious education from that old preaching nun in Denerim, then

Not only is she a talented mage but she also seems to have an understanding of real world international fisheries issues......
Also Hawke could also be saying "there's no cod for you either sister" in this pictire:

With regard to the review that viewed her in a negative light, I'll wait and see, I still like the idea of having a sister in-game and will look forward as to how it plays out with an open mind.

She might just not have a wacky personality, backstory or character trait.
So she may not stand out from the other companions. But will offer something different.
I think she will still be a great companion.

Pretty much as I was thinking, it's also one of the reasons I rather liked Jacob Taylor in ME2, shocking I know.

Which makes her 'boring' compared to the other companions.
Carver, OTOH, is the complete opposite. He thinks he knows best and really likes to press his opinions.
But you only see him if you play Mage, in which case most people will miss him on their first playthrough.

I really hope this is the case as it would increase replay value greatly for me, just a shame a warrior or rogue Hawke wouldn't be able to have such interactions and fractions with Carver or a Mage Hawke feel supported by his fellow apostate sister.

She might as well have almost the same backstory as you except the -i'm an apostate so I have to hide- part if you're not a mage...SeanMurphy2 wrote...

We've seen her offering insight on demon issues but I hope her involvement will be greater
I wish we could get this in a NG+Bobad wrote...
