I agree. besides, pants seem a bit more practical than robes, especially when running around, dodging attacks and whatnot.andar91 wrote...
I'd like to mention something I haven't seen discussed. First off, I love the robes she's wearing. They're similar and yet different to the old ones. Everyone is focusing on the...ahem...upper half. While I think the upper half looks quite nice, has anyone else observed that she's actually wearing pants? I think that's kind of cool.

The best picture I have seen of her in the non-mage robes outfit is the one at the start of this thread, I can't discern whether that outfit has a skirt or pants, is there another picture where you can tell that it has pants?, and if so does anyone have a link?Solstice-x wrote...

Amazing screen-shot. I'm ashamed to admit I haven't seen this one. Self punishment later. For now though, I'm still pretty frakking stoked about Bethany as a whole. All the "Support" jokes aside, it seems like she's poised to be the objective voice of reason to Hawke. Given the possibility that she's a Hedge Mage, though nothing has been confirmed yet, it would reason that she would have an open minded view of the world. So, take for instance, if you're trying to play your character as a true champion for good, she might argue that, sometimes, the "Good" choice isn't nessasarily the one that will most benefit the situation in the long term. Or, if you're trying to be the Tyrant rising to power, Beth might be the one to tell you, "Dude, you're being kind of a douche." You get the idea. Given that all of my siblings in the RW are sisters, I have to admit it would feel like comforting and familiar ground to have a 'Sis tagging along, making sure I don't stick my foot in my mouth and heavily judging the girls I date.
As to Voice Actors. It's cliche, I know, but, Kate Beckinsale would be amazing. BioWare's not likely to fork over the cash to afford her. But, still, her voice just fits everything. Regardless of whom they did pick to voice Bethany, since that choice was made awhile ago, I know she'll sound awesome. I haven't heard any really clear dialogue audio from PAX, so guess it's just a wating game till the first Demo Footage hits the net.
Ahem .... that reminds me of a poor female warrior....
What was her name again ........
No no don't tell me ... I cannot handle a second ''shocking plot twist '' again:whistle:

*SPOILERS*
I really can't think that they will have Hawkes mother & little brother die early in the game, only for his sister to die a little after that.
Also Flemeth asks that they deliver a package, could this be a euphamism for Bethany becoming a temporary vessel for Flemeth?

Poor Mhairi. Just when her dream of being a Warden was about to come true, after all her life waiting and searching for a chance, she only had death waiting for her on the other end.

Well, in all fairness she *did* become a Warden. She just paid the prie then rather than later. Kinda like Nate's grandfather.

I was so choked when Mhairi died. Its the equivalent of winning the lottery then getting hit by a soviet space toilet thats been in orbit for half a century. What a crappy way to go.

I started out by saying I was going to keep the Chantry's grubby paws away from Bethany, but now I think I'll add "the Grey Wardens' lecherous, greedy claws" to that list.
If Bethany dies thirty minutes into the game, then Bioware are officially familyphobes. Having a brother-sister dynamic might actually *connect* me to the game, so she'd better not end up a pawn for getting killed.

Most of all I sincerely hope we aren't going to have ME2 style companion outfits, the bodice above all other considerations makes me wary of this.

By this you mean monotype dressing? Complete with "let's go find Jacob's dad so he can get a change of clothes"?Bobad wrote...

From the way they were talking about family in the Q&A's it really sounds like Beth is with you as a full-time companion and that they did take the opportunity to explore a different kind of dynamic there.
