"Damnit Cullen, not again!"  I think we can thank Bethany for changing the zealot Templar Cullen to a normal Templar Cullen, how could you even think  of hurting someone so adorable as Bethany is beyond my comprehension, you cannot resist her puppy dog eyes :wub:
I must say, Cullen wouldn't have been a bad choice for Bethany's boyfriend, he would need a very, very long talk with my Hawke though.


Here's a question, what was your Hawke's reaction after Carver nailed Bethany's braids to her bed (Bethany talks about that in one of dialogues with Varric)?
Poor Carver ended up running around Lothering having Hawke chase him with her Greatsword (no she wasn't going to actually harm him, just let him run a couple km)

I think they were kids. Kids do a lot of stupid things.
I think my Hawke punched her brother, then they all became friends again and started to play "2 templars hunting a witch" or "Loghain, Maric and Rowan are saving the world from orlesian monsters" or "a fearless Grey Warden Bethany and her griffin Dinah (my Hawke's name) are fighting the evil Archdemon Carver"

As for my hawke. Since it was a childish prank, i guess a childish prank in return would suffice....  My hawke would have put really strong glue on the hilt of his Greatsword. Then step back and watch the hilarity ensue, preferably from a far away vantage point.

So far playing the game I don't think there's anyone good enough for Bethany.  I personally don't like Cullen and when he was in the house to take her to the Circle all I wanted to do was stick a sword in him.  Anders is too far gone now mentally to be a suitable partner and I can't think of any other character that would suit her.

I'm glad I'm not the only who felt like that, it sucks that he wasn't going to arrest Hawke since then I'm pretty sure there would've been an option to resist, but that would've went against Bioware "Hello players, look at your Hawke's family, now back at us, now back at them, the family is now GONE! Problem?" formula.... <_<
I don't like the zealot Cullen, but at the end he was pretty reasonable, for a Templar. If I had to pick someone from DA2 for Bethany it would've been Cullen (I believe a "talk" with him would solve all problems he has with Mages), but preferably I wouldn't pick anyone, my Hawke has really ridiculously high standards.

as far as suitable suitor for Bethany, I'd say whoever we get to play as in DA3 (assuming it's not Hawke)  which would imply a Bethany return (obviously) which would imply great ratings which would imply lots and lots of profit !!!

I'm using the normal DAO CC way, they are some things I use to make the avatars upload faster, keep the CC running, log in adn out from BSN and spam useless characters until the avatar uploads.

I think that's the only way my Hawke would approve of Bethany's boyfriend, well girlfriend actually since I mainly play as female.
I think that DA3 will continue HAwke's story though But there's a chance that the Warden might return in DA3, that would work too (lukcily my canon Warden is a Cousland).

That would also mean Bethany would be alone again adn HAwke will still have her LI But as long as I have Bethany to hug I will be amused.

I had that once, does it always happen? Have you tried re-installing the CC?

I think fanfiction should be welcome. This thread seems to be the focal point for Bethany worshi....i mean... support .

BTW, i started to read your fanfic, i liked the Ser Alrik reference. It got me thinking that over the years, Hawke must have had to do many things, maybe some of them not so nice, to protect her sister.

Circle Mage: "Bethany, i know you're new and you can't possibly have powers great enough to do this.... but how come people who are mean to you seem to mysteriously end up brutally murdered?"

Bethany: "I've always wondered that myself."

Circle Mage: "hmmm.... Knight Commander meredith is coming in next-week. If possible talk to her."

....1 month later....

Circle Mage seeing Meredith's Lyrium petrified body: "Whoa, that worked...."

Just here to say that I loved Bethany, she was probably one of my favorite companions in DA2. I hope we see her in future DA games. I'd love it if she were a full companion in future games.

 I think the Grey Warden Alistair would be a great boyfriend for the Grey Warden Bethany. She's not happy in the GW, but Alistair is so nice and funny, he could be the one to cheer her up and distract her from nightmares. And shield her from arrows. And talk about the lampposts (imagine all that blushing), and give her flowers. And they both have those puppy eyes imagine their children.

Depends on which version of my Hawke it was.

Rogue!Kas waited until that night then nailed his small clothes to his bed.
Warrior!Sable laughed, then laughed harder when Bethany made 'lunch' for him. (For some reason, I keep seeing Bethany as a terrible cook.)

Allistar...Yeah, Allistar would be fine. He would never take advantage of her or hurt her. The only problem that I have is that something like that is impossible in my canon playthrough, Allistar is not only the King but also the Hero of Ferelden's husband. But Bioware would probably retcon something like that anyway [smilie]../../../images/forum/emoticons/lol.png[/smilie]

Maybe we'll have to look to DA3 for some decent people.

What about that guard in Denerim that gives you quests? i forgot his name but he seems decent enough.
