ugh Jowan's so whiny and has already proven susceptible to making bad decisions with the blood magic etc. . .
I was up for Anders in the early portion of the game when she was all "you remind me of my father" but the whole Justice thing is a rickety bridge.

Looks like nobody's good enough, shame.

If first enchanter Irving were like 60 years younger, I would maybe approve. I always liked the guy

Jowan might be nice, but he's a doom magnet. First his relationship with lily screws up, he tries to poison arl eamon, then he screws up connor's training...

Well of course Bethany would be 'in charge' in a relationship with Jowan. He's used to being told what to do by Amell women.

Though he is a bit whinny, we can't really say he screwed up Connors training, the poisioning rather interrupted anything and Connor made the deal after he was imprisoned.

I find Jowan too be too weak to meet my Hawke's standards, I can't really say anything about him being a Blood Mage without being a hypocrite (guess who I romanced), but still Bethany is the only good Mage in Kirkwall, pairing her up with a blood mage who also poisoned Eamon just seems... wrong.
The only two persons I would approve of are married, sit on Ferelden's throne and they just have to be Grey Wardens... Plus one of them is a woman so there's only one good man...

hey just wanted to say Beth was an awesome companion even though it was short what they should have done was give her a specialty depending on which group she joined like if she became a warden (my choice) make her attacks more damaging or something or if shes a mage make her able to defend against magic better...well i just hope shes a romance option in dragon age 3 (unliklely but i hope) as for pics does anyone have a good pic with her grey warden outfit and her default face and hair i would totally save that pic if i could find a good one....

though I wished that she kept her Sweet Circle Bethany Personality instead of Ice Warden Bethany Personality.

thanks for the pics man like tony the tiger would say THERE GREAT!!! but its funny how the warden bethany looks better....just a question does any one of you think shes more mature as a the warden then as a circle mage??? i personally think so just because when the **** hit the fan she ditched the wardens to help her sister yet when shes in the circle she stays with them and you dont get her back for sure untill you go to the gallows jails (which if your playing with the templars idk why youd do that means shes only in the last fight) i like that she also has a reason to be mad at you in because if she joins the circle shes still an ass to you for majority of the game (i was pulling my hair out wondering if they had an off screen fight) at least i know why shes mad at me when shes a warden and that shes actually sad and misses you not like when shes in the circle and shes an arrogant sob when the quin attack and mouths of snide comments after you 1: rescue her and 2: she led a bunch of mages to there deaths...idk sorry if its a long post but what do you think is she more mature as a mage or as a warden???

Thanks for the lovely pics.

I think she's more mature as a Warden since she's had to grow up very quickly due to becoming a Warden and more importanly being away from her family meaning she's had to stand on her own 2 feet.  Whereas in the Circle she still has her mother visiting her.

yeah when she left during the demands of the qun quest it was like that sceen from war of the worlds when robbie runs into battle all i could think is "shes grown up so much" and also i was kinda proud of her still i was annoyed she was a dick about it then when she returned it was like reuniting with a sister and a old comrade at arms it was great....i hope if theres dlc she plays a part instead of bioware taking her out...again...it would be cool if after the meredith thing the grey wardens come in like peace keepers to restore order and keep the templars away from the mages so that way regardless you have access to bethany

Well that's just great, when I was writing this reply I somehow pressed a wrong button and something awesome happened! My browser closed without any clear reason and I'm sure I didn't press any combinations that close programs <_<

Not it's not just you. My theory is that the Wardens keep all the cool stuff at Weisshaupt and even the Hero of Ferelden didn't deserved to get more then the same robes, but with a new texture. How then did Bethany got such a cool outfit you might wonder? The answer is simple: puppy eyes, resistance is futile. Bioware shouldve made her armor avalible as a reward or from some merchant since you PS3 users can't get it (it can be modded on both 360 and PC), I mean, if you can get her Circle robes then why not her Warden armor?

That could've been used to give your sibling a specialization, Warden Bethany could've become an Arcane Warrior and Circle Bethany a Spirit Healer which would also give me more reasons to send Bethany to the Circle since my Healer kind of dies before the final battle...
Is it just me or does Bethany seem to be a bit more powerful then Anders or Meriil? I swear she was doing far more damage then Anders or Merrill and she also could survive more and there wasn't alot of difference with how I specced my Mages...

And where is circle Bethany so biter to you? I only remember one moment right after Orsino revived her, but I also just did All That Remains and my Hawke didn't visit her since there was a danger that she might've started to slaughter Templars (had to come up with some other reason then "Bioware didn't allow it since Hawke is not allowed to have a happy family"), well actually she would start blaming herself for failing to protect Bethany from the Circle and like every Amell she would get angry and try to vent her frustration on other people (both Leandra and Gamlen do it), in this case she would start stabbing Templars. 
Bethany seemed to be pretty nice after I saved her in Best Served Cold, especially if compared to "Thank you sister, it seems I'm in your debt again... and shadow"

While I'm still not really far in the PC version I did found a nice render of Circle Bethany:

I always have Beth go to the Circle. My Hawle didnt want to risk his sister being killed by the darkspawn in the deep roads.

Hopefully she can have a normal life after I freed her from The Gallows.

I didn't really had problems with that part, Bethany can handle herself, it was more the "you got 30 years to live before those nightmares drive you mad" part and also your chance for having children isn't high and I want to have little Bethanys running around.

Well there is a war going on so I doubt any Mage can have a normal life, but atleast Circle Bethany has a chance for a perfectly normal life, Wardens can never have a normal life, they either get killed by the Darkspawn, get killed because they were betrayed, become a King/Queen, dissapear because the Qun plot demands it, get killed so the main character can have more quests and if they menage to survive all that they stil die in the Deep Roads after 30 years, being a Warden sucks!

Varric did say that everyone except your LI left you eventually, maybe Bethany leaves to lead a normal life somewhere in the middle of nowhere with no Templars or Mages?

After losing Carver, I didnt want to risk Beth's life. I was more happy with her being in the Circle though, and she didnt seem to mind it that much. After DA2 she can at least live better, and isnt plagued by nightmares of the Archdemon, and isnt under the rules of the GWs. And like you said, she wont have to deal with the calling.

On a different note, I find it a waste that bioware spent the money to make a unique grey-warden outfit for bethany, and only have us see it for 15 minutes. Its not even a bonus unlockable for replays.

I find it more of a waste that Bioware created an entire companion only to have her taken away/killed after Act 1, right before the best Act (IMO).
What's really weird is that you can buy Bethany's Circle robes, you would've thought they wanted to keep all companion outfits unique...
