Is anyone doing Bethany arts or fiction? I'm outlining a short horror story called Gallows Dance set after she's gone through the Harrowing at the Kirkwall Circle. It has a few... creative liberties. Hard to write a story about someone who's locked in a cell most hours of the day.

I'm doing a fanfic largely about her, Hawke, Carver, and Leliana before the blight. It has its... liberties as well.

Hye i just made a really big update to the Dragon age wiki on Bethany idk if anyone is intrested to read it but i put a annalysis on why Bethany is how she is on both sides of the spectrum and way more content on her character regarding her roll in the story if you would like contact me to tell me if i did a good job and if theres anything i got wrong or whatever again it would be nice for feedback so let me know what you think thankyou

Sorry, a lot of pages to read. I've been playing my mage Hawke mostly (where Bethany dies) and am playing a Rogue now. So if I take Bethany and Anders down to the Deep Roads, she can wind up being a Grey Warden. What if I leave her behind? Does she get taken off to the Circle? Can she still rejoin you in Act 3 like Carver did for my mage?

yup she will join the wardens if she goes with anders and she will come back in act 3

After playing a female purple personality rogue, I must say I've gained further appreciation for Bethany. I love her sense of humor. It's a bit dark in places, which is an interesting contrast for such a sweet character.

I've been running around the gallows in Act 2 looking for Bethany. Is there any way to say hi to little sis? Maybe she is busy holding lessons for the younger ones =)

No, there isn't. Everybody in your family can visit her, just Hawke isn't allowed. I'm still trying to convince myself that the bouncer doesn't like Hawkes shoes and not that BioWare thought one letter in six years, between two siblings who care for each other, would be enough conversation to satisfy the players.

pff, most hawkes here would press the big red button on the whole companion select screen** to save Bethany, no offense taken here.

anywho, I'd check up on this thread alot more often if the da2 forums weren't such a drag. Once people stop complaining and the Bethany SUPER WARDEN EPISODES dlc comes out (you can quote me on that one) this place will be bumpin again

Not been looking at the forum for a while as I'm redoing Origins again and with PSN being down for looks like forever I decided to have a wee look as I'm having Bethany withdrawals. I just love having a character like her who doesn't seem to have a bad bone in her body, beautiful looking and one hell of powerful mage Warden.

I was replaying Origins lately too and I made a mistake of playing as human Mage and the origin isn't exactly helpful if you want to not think of Bethany. *walks around the Tower* *sees a Mage teaching a bunch of kids* Awwww, this could be Bethany in the Gallows! I could totally see her doing that, if I remember correctly she also does that, or were those students older? And talking with Cullen just ended up with even more ideas in my head, especially when you flirt with him and he runs away, that's probably how he would react if Bethany tried to use her puppy dog eyes on him, brave Ser Cullen bravely ran away!
So basically I ended up with having to play some DA2 to counter this, but use that time and used that guide to make my Hawke look like Bethany which caused some confusion at first "Huh? Bethany looking angry? Oh wait, it's me!"

I like the idea of her joining the Circle (because the taint is such a cruel destiny to such a sweet girl:(), and why not suggesting the "Bethany's Incredible Dangerous Harrowing" DLC instead. And then maybe... why not both?

Agree can see Bethany being a wonderful teacher and someone a new child to the Circle can trust as she would be able to help them settle in but since I still prefer my Warden to Hawke I would personally love to see my Warden and Bethany fighting side by side.

As with Cullen a word of caution on one of my playthroughs I sided with the Templars meaning I killed Wynne and cleansed the Tower and at the epilogue at the end it says the Cullen rulled the Tower more stricter than Greggior and ruled the Tower with fear.  So personally I woulnd't trust him with Bethany and wish there was a more aggressive option for your Hawke when Cullen takes Bethany away to the Circle.

Hawke got hit with the plot hammer at that point. I would've probably butchered Cullen if the game would've allowed it. Taking my poor little virgin sister away to the Gallows where rape and making mages tranquil is somekind of hobby? I don't think so.

You see her more as a Grey Warden than as a Circle Mage in Kirkwall.
