This may have been asked before but is there anywhere I can see what Bethany's face will look like when using certain presets? I always wind up with her looking similar to her default appearance or with the Cassandra hair cut. I am curious to see what else I can make her look like.

I rivaled Bethany on one playthrough (just to see the difference) before sending her to the Wardens (my preferred choice) and wow... she doesn't like me too much anymore. The line she says when you tell her about mom... yikes.

There is a post somewhere and I apologise but can't remember the link that shows what presets give you the different Carver and Bethany's.

Even if your friendly with Bethany she still is finding hard being a Warden and is not very happy with you. I prefer seeing her as this wonderful, beautiful and powerful Warden Mage and would love to see her team up with any of my Wardens as unlike a lot of people in this forum I would love to play my Wardens again in DA3.

I'm still holding out for the Warden and Hawke to come back with the Grey Wardens in Ferelden playing a major supporting role, since like you I prefer Warden Bethany. Get Nathaniel in there too and it's golden.

Warden Bethany has a modicum of freedom, since she is no longer considered an apostate. Well not so much freedom but relief, and purpose. But I do feel horrible everytime she shows up and is just so cold to me. *sigh*

But Circle Bethany doesn't get to ask people if they want to see her Taint (while holding up her Warden's Oath).

Bethany seemed angry at Hawke even as a Circle mage, which surprised me.

Well she is surrounded by corrupt ass Templars and scheming Blood Mages. Expect now she is all alone and can't do a damn thing about either one.

I have the mod which keeps the default appearances of the Hawke family members intact in order to avoid any unintentional fugliness. Well, during my first play-through it looked as though my rogue was adopted.

This time, I tried to make my character look like a blonde Bethany. I think I did alright in that department, considering I used one of the vanilla presets. Though Zoe Hawke looks far more conniving. And she has a smaller chin.

Sister act. They even have the same hairstyle.

It's annoying to get yelled at because you couldn't fight the game itself. You have to stand aside when Cullen takes her away (she even asks you to not make any trouble) and yet she is jealous and hostile when you meet her in act 2.
I was pretty depressed afterwards. "But I wanted to help you Beth... the game wouldn't let me" :(

I've done playthroughs sending her both the Circle and the Wardens while having her friendship maxed out and she was pleasant to me both ways. It was like being in the Wardens made her unhappy but she was grateful I saved her life. Whereas now where I rivaled her and sent her to the Wardens and her letter said something about her unhappiness and "I guess this is what you wanted." or something like that.

I like sending her to the Wardens and probably will for my final playthrough after all the DLC comes out only because I'm in the "the Wardens are up to something and if I send Bethany there maybe I'll see her in game 3 or in one of the DLCs" club. Kind of like how part of me wished I kept Alistair a Warden so I'd see him running around with Bethany. Ha, that'd be a cute couple. Plus, with Bethany being so nice and sweet is like being in the Wardens is an honor and I think she deserves it. Whereas last time I played a mage I was dead set on sending Carver to the Templars because I didn't like him enough to give him the honor of being a Warden.

Gaaah Im so attached to Beth on my current playthrough and I miss her so much ;~; I had her in the party all through Act 1,she was a great addition to my party,so useful xC I had her at full freindship in no time :3 Valerie Hawke loves her sister and would do anything to protect her. I decided to make her a GW because I am planning on siding with the templars and I didnt want her to be in the Circle.I just saw her at the end of Act 2 and I really wish we could of talked a little longer.I'm looking forward to having her fight in my party in Act 3,waaait she's going to be mad with me if I fight for the templars isnt she? Crap.

Actually, it can be really interesting having her be in the Circle, then siding with the Templars. There's a very sweet scene after killing Orsino where you prevent Meredeith from executing Beth.

I didn't get the impression that Bethany was angry for being taken to the Circle, but rather about the fact that Hawke failed to protect their mother.

Hawke: It's a Hawke family reunion!

Bethany: What's left of it..

I have a feeling she also was a bit... annoyed by the fact hat Hawke got money and status right after she was taken away to the Circle and that was supposed to help you with keeping them Templars away, except it came a bit to late and Bioware decided that I can't take on two Templars :pinched:

I believe they are mods that do that but you wil or get Carver talking instead of Bethany or the game won't treat you as a Mage, depends on the mod.

Agreed.

That scene is, imo, so much better and more emotional than the one you get for siding with mages.

Basically the "you'll always be my little sister to me" kind of response from Hawke.

I also agree. The scene after killling Orsino was really emotional. And at least then Orison admits he helped Quentin and you can actually say something about it....

idk i like her as a GW more im actually happy to see her its like when my bro returned from his deployment to the middle east i was happy and proud to see him same as bethany im proud to see her especially the noble cause she serves as for her. as a circle mage im never proud to see her cause i apparently cant fight two templars so she gets turned into a slave and when i see her for the first time in years she acts like colonel custer and gets her friends/apprentices killed by qunari and takes it out on me at least i understand how she feals as a warden short life, taint and all but dont be an ass to your bigger bro cause you killed or got your best friends killed.

I think it makes more sense that Bethany would be angry as a Circle mage. She wanted to go to the Deep Roads and Hawke decided against it, causing her to be found out and captured. It's essentially Hawke's fault. On the other hand if she goes to the Deep Roads and becomes a Warden, it's not really Hawke's fault since she wanted to come and Hawke does the only thing possible to rid her of the Blight and Bethany agrees to it. Of course, considering her life-long predicament, she's certainly entitled to be angry.
