And to that you could also add thet right after Bethany has been taken to the Circle/becomes a GW Hawke becomes rich. The entire point of the exepedition was to become rich so you could keep the Templars away from Bethany by using your money and status. Now imagine that Circle Bethany gets taken away right beofre it happens, so if you took her with you (she can't know what would've happend in the Deep Roads) the Templars wouldn't have found her and she would've lived with you in your estate under protection of your money and status. Wouldn't you be pissed in a situation like that?BTG_01 wrote...

Warden Bethany has a modicum of freedom, since she is no longer considered an apostate. Well not so much freedom but relief, and purpose. But I do feel horrible everytime she shows up and is just so cold to me. *sigh*
Bethany seemed angry at Hawke even as a Circle mage, which surprised me.
I think it makes more sense that Bethany would be angry as a Circle mage. She wanted to go to the Deep Roads and Hawke decided against it, causing her to be found out and captured. It's essentially Hawke's fault. On the other hand if she goes to the Deep Roads and becomes a Warden, it's not really Hawke's fault since she wanted to come and Hawke does the only thing possible to rid her of the Blight and Bethany agrees to it. Of course, considering her life-long predicament, she's certainly entitled to be angry.
Bethany as a Warden has constantly nightmares so that adds to it too...
