I wonder how that plays with a Sebastian/Hawke romance. (And what the Warden!Beth dialogs look like.)

Quick question: is there a mod that allows you to keep Bethany rather than Carver when Hawke is a mage?
Cheers.
One mod in nexus allow it but.. I do not use it, there is another way aswell:
- runscript chargen warrior XX ~ Changes player to a level XX warrior
- runscript chargen mage XX ~ Changes player to a level XX mage
- runscript chargen rogue XX ~ Changes player to a level XX rogue
- (Beware: Changing your characters class resets your characters appearance to the default.)

They are talking about it quite alot in the Sebastian thread, apparently only a friendmanced Sebastian (the boring, married one) is recognized here and even then he doesn't respond to Hawke flirting with Tallis, even post main game.Quething wrote...

Here it shows what happen when hawke romanced sebastian:sick: and bethany shows interest on him:sick:
If you ask me I rather see Bethany interested in Anders, fenris even isabela than that brain washer/deserter sebastian.
I dont like him.. not a bit. Am still waiting for a dlc or mod that allow my hawke's to kill him.

Note: I came up with that idea long before Legacy even started hinting at the relationship stuff. Not saying I thought of it first. Just that I thought of it before I even knew Bioware also thought of it. They thought of it first most definitely.

I think you are putting too much into it, like Carver/Merrill it would probably be more of a flirt, a crush, than an actually full fledged romance.Huntress wrote...

Despite that your preferences do suck. Fenris hates mages and and she sees Anders as a father or a brother but is clearly bothered by his justisism. Isabela and her is not anything at all, more like a jazzy older sister.
I'm not saying that Sebastian is much better, but at least they share some views.

Agreed, and me too. My fanfic will include a small flirtation too when they reach Starkhaven, but they will part ways before it develops. The Ethereal Writer Redux wrote...
aww man, I had plans to do the Bethany-Sebastian thing in my fanfic. I thought I was being original. Turns out Bioware's working on doing that.

Mine's going to have them get married. They're so lovey-dovey together
I was going to do Anders-Bethany originally, but when she said to Anders "You remind me of Father" I immediately scrapped that idea. Don't need Bethany having daddy issues and banging Daddy 2.0.

I'm still suspicious about the fact that he is willing to sell out every mage in Hawkes party, but as soon as Bethany enters the room he is all "You were made as you are. I have yet to see evidence of the Maker's fallibility. I certainly don't see any in you." Freaking sycophant.

i think i said earlier in this thread. i think choirboy will betray hawke. and legacy takes places for the game so no telling what he thinks of bethany at the end.
I think so too. The Starkhaven dlc is properly going to be after the end game and thanks to the thing Casssandra says I think that no matter what the Chantry will always see Hawke as anti-chantry in the time span between end game and the interrogation. And I just can't imagine Sebastian not choosing the Chantry's side.

Well, Sebastian can choose to side with the mages on Hawke's word, that's good enough for me.esper wrote...

No one wants to see their little sister become the princess of Starkhaven?
Not...really, no. And marrying a mage would be the last thing a politically-minded Sebastian would want. Bethany is not Hawke, and can only really milk that name to a point, and even then, only in Kirkwall. With MOTA's ending, Orlais isn't too happy with Hawke, and with DA2's ending, neither is a lot of Thedas.. Sebastian would likely have to find a noble family of Starkhaven to marry into, for political connections, money, and soldiers if he is actually serious about reclaiming his throne. Plus, if Hawke supports the mages, Bethany is a fugitive from Chantry justice. If Hawke supports the templars, Bethany is back in the Circle and then again a fugitive from Chantry justice, and the Chantry wouldn't allow it either way. At best, Bethany would be relegated to being a mistress, a passionate affair on the side while Sebastian finds a politically acceptable marriage. She deserves better.
Or he goes for the whole chantry brother routine, and after the chantry nearly tried to kill her purely for being a mage, I don't think Bethany would be okay with that.

That said i doubt a marriage would happen too, as i said before; the flirt between her and Sebastian and that of Merrill and Carver only seems to be a crush rather than something with a basis of real love.

What joke? His flirting with Beth? Or his proposal to Fenris that they should hand over the mages in Hawkes group to the chantry? I never understood either of them as a joke. I'm confused.

Then you have no grasp of Bethany's character, she's almost as devout an andrastian as Sebastian, her beleif is at least as sincere.

Bethany is an Andrastian, but a Chantry loyalist? Not so much. There's a difference. Bethany's more of a "direct relationship with the Maker, no chantry necessary" kind of Andrastian. She sees the Chantry as a corrupt institution fueled by the flaws of men by the endgame, in the same way an early Protestant would have seen the Catholic Church.
Bethany, more than anything, needs a partner who can challenge her beliefs by offering intelligent counterpoints, not simply a hunky knight in shining armor who pretty much shares all of her beliefs. That's where character development and the dynamism of a relationship comes from, especially in drama.

I agree with that. She believes in the Maker and Andraste but she isn't supporting the way the chantry is "interpreting" Andrastes teachings.
