I downloaded the game yesterday, patched it, and while it runs fine, there's a problem- whenever i move the cursor over items or people to interact with them, it either highlights it once for a split second or nothing happens at all!

This is making it completely impossible to play the game... any ideas whats wrong and how to fix it?

Post your specs. This is a common problem when trying to play on a system below the min requirements.



Common fixes are to turn down resolution and/or graphical details.

Low framerates are the direct cause. Try kloreep's fix and if that doesn't work upgrade your hardware or play on an Xbox 360.
