I really enjoyed the developing banter in both DAO and Awakening between the party members. It was very nice how they'd continue converations or start whole new ones based on comments they'd make towards each other while exploring Ferelden. In Awakening I was almost sure Nathaniel and Velanna were growing on each other where their snarkiness/seething rage slowly turned into shower of compliments/demure acceptance.
Follow-up conversations existed in Origins where party members would continue a conversation.

Yes I know that but I just finished my first run through of Awakening a few days ago so that little bit was still in my head, especially since nothing really came of it. I thought maybe in the some far flung long shot future there'd be the pitter patter of sarcastic, bitter Dalish-Noble mage-thieves running around the Howe Estate.Dave of Canada wrote...

I can't remember, maybe BG2 (sorry to bring that up).
It seems like a good idea and would make the group feel like a group, rather than a small list of people who's only connection to each other is that they follow me.
ME has that problem but that seems more intentional.

Oh, come on, have some guts for competition.SirGladiator wrote...
I like the idea of one of the party members having an inter-party romance so long as we have a say in who the party member (especially if its Bethany) chooses, I wouldn't want it to be sort of 'set in stone' who she ends up with regardless of whether I like him or her or not. I like the idea of, assuming there are two female LIs, having one for my Lady Hawke and letting Bethany have the other. So long as she is able to end up with either one, and isn't limited to just one or the other, then all is good, as that means I can pick either one myself and not worry that I'm taking away Bethany's only option. That's a win-win, and I would definitely support that.
Seriously, doesn't that sound a little bit like "Make do with leftovers, sis"?

ME1, and ME2 had party bantar as well though. At least outside of the Normandy. Honestly it'd be nice to have party bantar within the Camp/Keep itself but I don't see it happening.

It is about a guy and his rise to power soo I guess these kind of events can add many opportunities.
It is 10 years ! If you can have the same companion for 10 years ( at least I hope so ) you can might aswell see the change in him/her and seeing their developement can be great too. Like the Epilogue when you Hook up Oghren with Felsi, in this case you will see the effects much faster.
I would like to involve Bethany's love life as an ''intimidating'' big brother
And I even started to wonder if there will be any marriage of companions or so. It is 10 years ! surely some of the companions will leave and have their own lives ( unless they are total Hawke fanatics
these are my guesses , take your pick

Easy solution. Have the expansion focus on a different character who can romance Bethany. Probably make everyone happy.

Tali + Garrus on the Citadel. They didn't really broke their back on that one. *Overly referential*

So when you as Hawke can have romances do you think your sister will have one (or more) romantic intrests? And how will Hawke react to them? Will he/she be the protective brother/sister? (if you break her heart I'll break your neck).
Or will he/she be jealous? When your playing as Female Hawke and it seems your romantic intrest seems to like Bethany more, what will happen? Will one of them back down or will it result into a cat fight?

Before Bethany is Hawke's sister, she is the PLAYER's partymember. Notice how the partymembers back in the first Dragon Age never fell in love with anyone throughout the game that wasnt the Warden? So ya, dont think it'll happen buddy.

Well, I have a quite popular sister in real life. Took great, excruciating pains until she finally got married. Guess I'll go "You touch my sis, I'll feed you your hand" as well.Slidell505 wrote...

I wouldn't bet on this myself. Notice how far BG2 went compared to BG in romance department.Just_mike wrote...

It would be hard to balance her romance being scripted to happen exactly the same way every time. Or alternately Hawk having too much control over her actions.
Maybe it would be partially shaped by your interactions with her and her LI. But also how events affect her. Like a traumatic event may mess up her mind. Or maybe if her and her LI are in the party for a pivotal moment it becomes a powerful shared experience for them.
But realistically I can't see it being such a big part of the game. It may just be reflected in the banter like Oghren going after Wynne. Or Zevran trying to seduce various party members.

Why, though? Wouldn't you be weirded out if she protected YOUR chastity? I never really understood this attitude.
