Here is my take on the possible candidates

Anders-Hawke approves but warns her to be cautious because he's posessed by a demon

Fenris- Hawke is indifferent, but accepts that she can love whoever she wants.

Varric-Hell no, he'd only break her heart.

I thought it would be cute to have Bethany and Anders get together (although I don't think party members actually go past a bit of flirting with each other in the game) because Anders was adorable but not really my cup of tea in Awakening .... since his official reveal though I know my femHawke will not let Bethany get a look in!

How about Bethany and Cullen? My Bethany ended up in the Circle so it'll make sense if she became the first enchanter and Cullen becoming the knight-commander. It'll be like a Romeo and Juliet thing!

I thought about this with Carver kind've due to you get the idea that he has a crush on Merill so it would've been interesting to have some sort of mini dialogue. My Hawke would be like "congrats that you found a guy to put up with you" or "please tell me he isn't one of Isabela's friends". And at the end "Please don't end up like mother just did...to soon?"

I'd LOVE to have a "what if" DLC where Hawke's sibling would survive and our Hawke would sacrifice himself to the ogre at the very beginning of the game, just to see what kind of difference choices Carver and Bethany would do.

Yeah. Same reason why I liked the Darkspawn DLC for Origins. It was nice to see how Alistair would've handled things without the Warden.
