I get the desire to prevent spamming, but I'd rather the limt only kicked in on the third message or something. When I'm doing fast-paced arguing, I run into that wall all the time.
This new flood control setting is annoying me.

The wait time is only 30 seconds between posts, so if your are in a discussion, then just take your time. You can use tricks like composing a reply in a text editor, then paste it in a new message, whould should take a bit over 30 seconds. If you are constantly running into issues, then perhaps your are posting too quickly and it almost seems like you may be trying to use the Forums much like an IM service, which it is not.
See Rule 5 from the Site Rules because it seems you would be attempting to use the forums much like IM, the boards aren't designed for fast-paced conversations.

.This is not a phone. Conversations are for the telephone, IRC, etc., not for these message boards or the Social site. Private discussions can take place through the Private Message system or other external means and are not welcome on the open forums.

I tend to open multiple threads in which I'm having discussions at once, and then jump from window to window as I respond (and I might compose the responses simultaneously). But if it's only 30 seconds I can work with that.
I must have been typing faster than I thought.

*MY* annoyance in this regard is that it is just not CLEAR what is happening, because the error message is generic, makes no mention of a time limit anywhere!
