This is lame. Why wouldn't they include female Qunari? I was hoping to have one as a teammate.

Well in all fairness they just showed concept art of them. That didn't mean we would see any in DA2. But like he said if people keep asking we will see on in DA3. Until then i'm still hoping to see some female aliens in ME3.

But why are they releasing concept art for stuff if it isn't even going to appear in-game? Should we also expect concept art for the new unicorn mount?

I want a unicorn mount LI now

Why is this surprising considering Sten's opinion on the role of women. I guess we won't see them until we are going to a place that is
already under Qunari occupation for some time.

99% of Qunari women sure.. but that's the point, the one you could potentially meet wouldn't be in that 99%, she would be an outsider/outcast.  That's what would be appealing to that sort of character, she wouldn't be some run of the mill elven archer or a dwarven warrior, she would have a depth of character sorely lacking in most fantasy settings... at least imo.. but alas, maybe we'll see one in DA3, if there is one.

This is almost worse than Mass Effect where they simply just don't include female turians and salarians..

We have great concept art of a female Qunari and we just don't get them in the game? Thats a slap in the face.

You think that really stoped people playing dwarves from romancing Morrigan/Leliana? I doubt that :D

And, well, yes I hoped for qunari LI. Sten still makes my head go round )))

We had better not have a repeat of the whole Mass Effect species sausage-fest in the Dragon Age series.

To people saying it wouldn't make sense due to Qunari society: It wouldn't be hard for the writing team to write a female Tal'Vashoth. Presumably Qunari women who become Tal'Vashoth are no longer restricted by their culture afterall, in fact I think meeting a (formerly) Qunari woman who has rejected her religion due to the way it treats women could have been very interesting, a shame if we truly don't see any of them in DA2.

It's going to be female Turians all over again!

There's always been concept art for people that don't exist ingame.

But I don't see the point of a Tal'Vashoth in the Free Marches, to me it seems more like they'd be in the jungles and such fighting the Qunari as rebels.

BioWare big studio. Big budget. Models easy to make. No excuse not to have female versions of different races.

Fem quns are just not important to the plot - yet. And as i said the ustream, think of them as muslim ladies (no offence, again). They are not allowed to be warriors, you expect them to run away from home and learn to fight in some cave or what? They were taught to stay at home, take care of the house or something...

No.  They never showed us female turian/salarian/krogan concept art and then laughed at us.

Which is even further away than the Free Marches from the Qunari homelands. If anything you should see more of them in the Free Marches.

Hand is raised. Li would be cool, but its far from the only reason to include a Female Qunari.
