You never see her, you just see the outline. She's pretty small.

You don't settle anything until you've conquered it. What we see in DA2 sounds more like the military operation of the invasion of the free marches than the indoctrination of the land, hence the lack of females...silentassassin264 wrote...

The Qunari are supposed to be invading places to spread the Qun, not to be a natural disaster that blights the land. Why would they go to take over a place without the necessary civilian convoy?
It made sense for Sten to come without a woman in his crew because they were just a group of soldier scouts trying to find the answer to a question. They were not going to conquer Ferelden or actually defeat the blight by themselves. But if the Qunari are invading the Free Marches to spread the Qun, leaving out the females makes no sense.
