The subject has been brought up many times before actually. A POLL I created a while back shows that the community is overwhelmingly in favor of sex and nudity. With 1200+ responses the margin of error is less that 3%, and since there is no reason to believe that this particular community is any more or less conservative than the gaming public at large, I'd say the question of consumer demand is pretty much settled. Bioware/EA are just being prudish about it for some reason. I wonder if it's the designers or the corporate side.

A lot of people want ME1 type scenes and I tend to agree. I prefer a few face closeups, quick cuts and a fade to black. In fact I'd be happy with just some making out and tumbling down to the floor or bed (still dressed) before a fade to black.

I would love it if they were more like ME2 in that each couple's ene was unique (different animations, dialogue and sometimes different places). It would be great if there were love scenes designed to make you go 'Aww' like Tali's too.

Ultimately I hope it's all about character development, not titillation.

Well, I don't know if that margin of error is correct because it's not a random sampling and you don't tend to get accurate results from a self-selected survey. Not that I'm anti-sex, just wanted to point that out.

Honestly, the sex scenes are always kind of just embarrassing and poorly done so I'd be okay with...none. The underwear is fine, too.

Either like Mass Effect's where its kinda dark, focusing more on the character's faces, maybe a bit of sideboobage, or just a fade to black. The scenes in DA:O were just ridiculous.

If you're going to do nudity, then ME1 is a fine example. I did however find the love scenes in ME2 to generally be more rewarding and emotionally engaging; Thane crying, Tali rambling, Garrus insecure, they where all rather heart-warming.



Wonder why the scenes involving aliens seemed to be the most charming ones?

Probably because they didn't want to deal with the awkwardness of alien sex so they focused on little moments like that instead and just implied the awkward alien sex.

I don't care if nudity and sex are in the game, but it needs to be done tastefully. There's a huge difference between something just having nudity and becoming a porno. On the subject of the love scenes, I have always thought a fade-to-black is the best solution. Nobody can possibly reproduce a love scene visually that is superior to one that uses your imagination.

Just like done in ME1 - that was quite cinematic and tasteful. There is no need for full frontal nudity at all, but please, no underwear. The right camera angle and fade to black work way better.

If you're going to deal with the subject of sexuality then you'd better be prepared to actually deal with it. That means having nudity. The sex scenes in Dragon Age: Origins came across as hilariously bad due to the awkward censorship. Let's not have a repeat of that. Mass Effect did it much better by at least giving the viewer the illusion of nudity.

I'd like a cross between ME1 and ME2. ME2 had great scenes leading up to the act and ME1 had a tasteful enough depiction.

The bra/panties, Ken/Barbie scenes from DAO weren't very good. Plus, a couple of times it was glitched for me. One time I had Blood Dragon armor on during coitus and the other, I was glowing purple from a buff effect..

I guess that's just general advice for what I want to see in DA2 -- fewer bugs.

I really liked the Mass Effect love scene. I would like the different scenes for different characters performed in different locations. Having undies on I thought was awkward would rather have a fade to black. I HATED no more talking about anything with LI after you finally had sex. I really HATED this!! In a way this cheapened the whole experience.The LI opinions would matter more in decision making times. I agree dead bobies with the sex mod on was u hum.... interesting to say the least.

Now, I think it worked for Mass Effect 1 because you actually only had sex with the LI right before the final mission. They really should do the scenes like ME1 but if its going to happen within the 10 years, then they should add content to the game that would make having sex or having an LI in general interesting and meaningful to the story and game. If not, what's the point of having it in the first place?
