Also still no word on if Hawke, can use magic and be proficient in melee like we saw in the trailer.
Trailer Hawke is a mage.

I play it once on the PS3 and once on the 360. Lady Hawke sounded really good, some might say sexy and as look reminded me a bit of Morigann; but male Hawke sounded a little bit too young, and did not suite the preselected look I was given (same look from the trailer), so maybe ditch the Chuck Norris beard and I'll be happier.
As for the play, the female Hawke warrior had many of the same moves from the original. However, the action element the warrior swung with a 2-handed sword in a slow moving three hit combo with the last hit stunning the enemy. However, the male Hawke rogue is a whole different class from the origins one, I actually found them to be much more competent fighters in up front melee than the warrior. They attack so quickly, and they can flip from enemy to enemy super quickly, and yes they literally do flipping kicks as the finishing move to their 6 or 7 hit combo. Moreover, they had some new abilities, such as dodge which they could flip in the direction you tilted they stick to avoid directions. There was also the grenade ability, which they deal slight insignificant AOE damage, not too sure if I was a fan of that or not. Then they also had some generic combat moves, which really just looked pretty and dealt more physical damage. Also still no word on if Hawke, can use magic and be proficient in melee like we saw in the trailer.
SO based on your definition on VA sounds like Male hawke is leaning more towards King caliannickharvey86 wrote...

Blur trailers aren't canon, there's no darkspawn at the urn, Grunt isn't 300 years old, Gay Wardens don't have glowing eyes etcnickharvey86 wrote...

Not universally which is why I don't think it can be his actor.

I would say Hawke sounded like Orlando Bloom from Kingdom of Heaven take from the what you will. But Ladies female Hawke was really impressive, male Hawke looked like a Duncan rip off in game...
Well, they CAN, but Hawke's sword in the trailer was a Greatsword, which an Arcane Warrior can't use WELLDave of Canada wrote...

But mages CAN use melee attacks.
*sighs* DG didn't say he was unpopular. He said the character was "not very popular." There is a difference.Morroian wrote...

Glad to hear Gameplay accolades from people who played demoAntiuna wrote...
I was a bit sketch hearing about the changes to the combat system myself, but after playing the demo at PAX I'm excited for it. I never played the game on the counsel before but dang, was it great. The combat was smooth and very intuitive. I played the female rogue (squeed rather loudly when I heard we'd get to demo the lady *blush*) and have to say it was a lot of fun. I swapped over the Bethany and like the way the mage works too (pausing for spell casts, melee stick. .. whootcakes)
I didn't really feel like the 15 minutes were enough to get much of a feel for the new dialog system. It's a lot like ME2 but the like 3 conversation options I got didn't really give me a great feel for what I think of the VO. But I have to say it was the best demo I played at PAX (followed by Horde. That game rocks.) also have to give a thumbs up to the folks managing the booth, you guys were great!
Super excited for March!

Hahaha. I think three of us were asking the same question. He turned to Neel and was like, "Someone's a fan of Peter Bramhill!"marquiseondore wrote...
