Well, they CAN, but Hawke's sword in the trailer was a Greatsword, which an Arcane Warrior can't use WELL

It's a staff, actually.

Not it's a two-handed sword. It's the same weapon used in the Male Hawke Warrior Gameplay Presenations, but added "stuff" for the trailer

I asked DG the other day if Hawke sounded glorious....but he totally saw through my not so veiled attempt.

Maybe it was just me but the way he reacted to the question made it look like Bramhill wasn't it, though. But maybe that was just me.

But he knew it was Bramhill :bandit:.  He could have said Cailan.

I would say Hawke sounded like Orlando Bloom from Kingdom of Heaven take from the what you will. But Ladies female Hawke was really impressive, male Hawke looked like a Duncan rip off in game...

His beard is the same model as Duncan's isn't it? In any case I could say the same from seeing vids.

Also Orlando Bloom has the same kinda tone as Cailan imho. Thanks for that btw. I don't mind Orlando's voice. Just his acting, lol.

Also the story telling element of it being a story told was really cool, after the first battle which ends with a dragon appearance, and I say appearence nothing more, the screen fades black and recaps the first game. Which then precedes to a conversation with a female knight and a dwarf, who is telling the story of Hawke, and the knight is asking questions to the Dwarf (I couldnt see how tall he was, but his face looked like a Dwarf) about what Hawke, was like, and asking questions like "Did that really happen?" as the Dwarf continues his story the game play moves to Hawke and this family escaping what I assume is a burning Lothering, and the rest of the demo was combat with a party of 4 and you can switch in between party members using your trigger buttons as in DAO. The Mage in my party only had the fireball spell, didn't really toy around with her that much.

But Gaider wrote Cailan and most likely was the one who cast Bramhill in the first place.

Question:

How is the inventory?

And the conversation, feels like Mass Effect? Aaaaand...what about the graphics?

Nope, Bioware calls it a sword-staff. They even had a replica of it at PAX.

[Edit] Grr argh I'm slow. Anyway, I'm glad to read positive reviews of the game play. Over on FB, few people have said it was the best demo at PAX.

Hmm... if it plays in gameplay like in the trailer, I'm definitely playing as an Arcane Warrior

It was an off-handed comment. Do you think about everything you say the moment you say it when you have at least fifty people asking you questions for a live interview? :D

What accent did Cassandra have? Someone said her voice was sexy, though I was a bit unnerved by her apperance (what's with her eyes?)

I assume Cassandra was the other female you got in your party or the 'knight' I was reffering too, either way what I briefly saw of either of them they seemed a lot like Morrigan, tough as nails chick. Which Gaider and the other 5 writers seem to have a trend for writing. I talked to Gaider after and they said DAO had 5 writers and DA2 has 6 writers, but he didn't mention if he was the head writer. Anyways guys I am off to bed, hopefully someone else who played it at PAX can answer some questions for you, if not ill make sure I check the forum tommorow. I love chatting with fellow DA2 nerds!

Graphics looked amazing on PS3 and 360, but the developer (Looked half asian, younger, glasses, goatee spikey hair, did the play by play for the Warden's Quest thing for DAO) chose to use the words 'good for PC graphics' or something to that effect, when talking of the PC version, so I don't know what that means. And the demo did not allow access to the inventory, but the leveling up system was completley revamped, you still give points to stats, but the skills are now on a skill tree ala a deeper Diablo 2 style tree is the best comparison. OK off to bed.

The Dwarf, if thats what he is sounded like a Dwarf. Except he was rocking a Anders style blonde short pony tail, and even a matching Anders earing in his right ear. Cassandra sounded like a generic english woman, fairly forgetable compared to female Hawke.

Ya she sounded like a sassy english chick, nothing really great, what she was saying was more interesting than how she was saying it. Bed time!
