would it be possible, in your opinion, to break the caps set by Awakening?
for example:
  • more inventory space than 125
  • achieve 100% elemental resistance
  • more than 150 for mental and physical resistance
  • increase the number of runeslots for both weapons and armor
  • possible to get to the limit of character attribute (if any)
  • armor penetration more than 41
  • more damage bonus than +100
  • more than 50% elemental damage on weapons
  • more than 100% negative resistance (or weakness, although I doubt this would prove useful)

None of the below is in particular to do with Awakening, just answering for Origins. I don't know much about editing Awakening. It would likely override some stuff, but most core things like this should be the same.

1) Yes, SetMaxInventorySize()

2) Yes, edit the creature_ranks.xls 2DA, change the resistance cap on PLAYER (I believe this should do what you're asking).

3) Probably no. At least as far as the GUI displays I haven't been able to get resistances over 100%. Not sure what the point is though?

4) Yes, edit the materialtypes.xls 2DA, change the runecount column.

4) I'm not aware of a limit on them.

5-7) Don't know as much about these ones, fairly certain you could edit them in the scripts somewhere but I'm not sure precisely where.

8) See 3.

mental and physical resistance do not work in percentages,

http://dragonage.wik...sistance_Checks

at least this is how I thought it was. that's why I asked.

As far as I can see in the code it 'rolls' a d100 when making resistance checks, and physical resistance seems to use the same function.

my bad then. but since developers said the cap was raised to 150 I thought it worked differently.

For combat regen, damage bonus, resistance increases, you have to overrides properties 2DA

Armor Penetration can currently go up till 100, I believe.

Same thing. Take a look at that 2DA and you'll see.

to understand the 2da is like having the key to the game itself, it seems :D
