2) If we =have= to have looting, grey items need to disappear. There should not be any useless items that serve no purpose buy giving the character's gold. Just make the potentially useful items all that much more valuable.
3) Having to click through menu after menu after menu to get all the info out of my NPCs. Give me Awakening's world driven conversations, no more clickfests.

Aww, am I the only person that liked the Fade? I wouldn't mind more puzzle-solving.
The nightmares: Keep. I enjoyed those.
The long, rambling hallways: Drop. Booooooooring.

Please no more unavoidable plot imprisonments. I really appreciate the way it was done in DAO when there was a possibility to choose if I want to let the bad guys capture me or simply to kill Ser Cauthrien for good. But the Awakening twist with the Architect lockup really makes me think my Warden actually sucks, which was kinda frustrating. Like come on, that guy have defeated Archdemon himself and now he simply falls asleep at the enemy's mercy. So helpless...
Also I'm happy about the way this time Hawke is not beaten to the bloody mess like the Warden was right before Flemeth rolls in to kill some darkspawn guys.

Mages are feared across Thedas, if every upstart rogue or warrior equals them there are no reason to fear them... And it's singleplayer (with a party of 4) so even people who choose a warrior can still include 1 or 2 mages if they so desire.
Mages are glass cannons, they discharge their stuff and then they are dry after a short while where a warrior might continue till the battle is over.
Better to cut down on the number of lyrium potions and not have a conveniently located vendor where the ingredients for lyrium potions are sold in infinite numbers.
I agree to a certain extent that they should be more powerful than either warriors or rogues but to balance that there should be more enemies that target spellcasters with anti-mage abilities.
And they are faaaaar from glass canons.. if you spec right.. My awakening mage has over 700 hitpoints and 155 spellpower, which beats out Justice by about 100 hitpoints the way he's speced.. Being a blood mage alone, even without arcane warrior is unbelievably unbalanced as I can spew out unlimited spells, then when my health is low, turn off bm, use a health pot to jump back up to max health and keep going.. it's almost impossible to die if you spec CC along with that build.

Not every mage I have wants to be a bloodmage... And when I do, I expect it to be powerful, as bloodmages are one of the major reasons mages are feared... So much that it takes specially trained warriors (templars) to hunt them down and even then they're not guaranteed victory, and often operate in groups to capture or kill a single mage.
If DA:O had actual repercussions to being a blood mage, either if the PC are or associate with one if you spec Morrigan or Wynne into it, and I mean serious repurcussions, people would think more about speccing it and thus eliminating some of the problem. But scaling down magic in general is just stupid, when a mage fires a fireball or whatever things should die, and fast. In fact it would be nice if scorched enemies after the initial hit ran around on fire, panicking and trying to kills the flames.
Edit: And any rpg game can be broken by munchkins, true story. The fault with a computer rpg is that no GM tones down your character in devious ways if you break the gameplay.

1. Bows without strings.
2. Romance scenes that look absurd.
3. Multiple different items that are functionally identical (such as a tier 3 dagger with Name A, Name B, or Name C and no special attributes).

*Regarding of those three, I'd really like two-handed longswords or some sort of "Dueling" talent or Specialization for the Warrior, similar to KotOR's "Dueling". "Dueling" wouldn't necessarily be the name, as there's already "Duelist" Specialization for Rogue. However, with the changes in DA2, the specialization might shift to the Warrior class.
34% slower Rogue attacks by default. Of course, made more powerful to compensate.

--No more stupid mage hats. Seriously. If I have a hard time looking at my warden without giggling, I imagine that her party members would have a difficult time looking her in the face when taking orders from her as well. Circlets or headbands or something like that would probably be a much better looking solution.
--No more (or at least a lot less) fetch quests with no story. I get that the chantry board and all that is a job board, but why do all the quests (with few exceptions) have to be 'Grab 3 of this thing!" or "Find this person, that guy and this lady!" It got to the point that I didn't bother reading them anymore because I could just wander around the town and bump into whoever I needed. Baldur's Gate II had some really awesome sidequests that made it worth your time looking into them--like the skinner and what's-her-name's keep. Bioware is known for its awesome writing, so give it to us =D
--No more ugly underwear designs, awkward sex scenes, and bad boobs. Ugh. Major pet peeve here, but I really shouldn't be wishing my warden kept her armor on while in the midst of "l'amour" because her bod's modeled so badly and both of their undergarments are weirdly proportioned and kinda funny looking. I'm not looking for sexy lingerie or anything, but like, a sports bra or something that looks like it could provide support would be nice =\\
Other thoughts -- personally, I liked and didn't like the environment convo stuff from awakening. I liked that it got rid of the "sit in camp and go through all the options for everyone" thing, and that it kinda forced you to use all your party members in order to know all of them, but I didn't like that I'd have to always be on the lookout for new icons in every single area. It made me super paranoid that I'd miss something. But that's just me.
