and what exactly does that mean? Does it mean their won't be a party camp? Does it mean that I will have to go to their home and knock on the door to see if they can come out and play? What does it mean..............:wizard:

i'm guessing it could be like the early star oceans where your party members explore the city on their own, sometimes giving fun cutscenes

Yes, this PLEASE. Learn one thing already Bioware - zweihanders are NOT slow, clumsy weapons. They are the weapons of the elite, exceptionally lethal and versatile (and expensive).
If you need to balance them, follow Real Life and make htem difficult to master (either by haivng the best skills unlock late, or having to take some other things before one can start getting two-handed sword skills)

EDIT: Also, keep looting down. Massive, epic LOOTZ is not what makes a game great. Some might disagree, but there have been plenty of sucesfull games with little to NO LOOT. It's not the point of the game. Keep it rare and keep it special.

After all ,you dont' exactly read how Aragorn thre away the Improved Sword of Fire to maek room for the Superior Sword of Inferno? A player sticking with a weapon should gt some kind of bonus...like +1 to attack and damage for every 100 enemies killed with that weapon?

No more broken items.

When an entire bonus, armour set or even item type is broken things get confusing.

I'm looking at you crossbows.

Things I don't want to see

1. Anything that requires twitch responses. When I come home from work I'm knackered. The last thing I want from my games is something that requires physical effort. My brain never switches off, so I want my games to primarily use that.

2. Taunt/Threaten mechanics and 'pure' tank options. I like playing warriors not meatshields. I like how the current game turns my shield into the offensive weapon it should be, don't make S&S into a purely defensive option.

3. Radial menus, but I've already lost that battle. We'll see if there is enough good stuff to make me want to buy the game despite that.

4. Mages who can do everything. I'm particulalry looking at Arcane Warrior, I'd prefer to see it replaced with a more interesting specialisation. But it also goes for the entropy/element etc groups. If warriors and rogues have to specialise in a single combat area, why shouldn't mages? And yes I do play mages as well as the other classes.

A group of spells isn't the same as a group of weapon skills.  The weapon skills depend on which sort of weapon combination you have equipment and the character's fighting style.  The spells are just grouped by theme, it's not like you have to switch to another staff in order to cast from a different school of magic.

I completely agree with you on the way DAO used shields for S&S warriors -- as an active item used for actively blocking and attacking, not a giant piece of passive arm armor.  Much better than many other games.

Somewhat along these lines:  Rune slots and runes for bows, crossbows, armor, and shields would be nice.

I don't know how possible this is, but I really really don't want to see any trace of DA1's simply awful combat system.

DA1's combat system was a pure WoW rip-off. All it was was select enemy then press buttons 1, 3, 7, oh 1 again! 2, 8 etc. with the player just staring at the cooldowns instead of at the action.

Even KOTOR had better combat, with the important interface stuff IN THE MIDDLE OF THE SCREEN, and more importantly in the middle of the action, so players don't need to keep staring at the bottom left of the screen.

Also, try having enemy types which actually require different approaches. Instead, in DA1 all you have to do, no matter what enemy type is infront of you, is press the exact same buttons in the exact same order, EVERY single fight. This is especially true for non-mage characters.

If they want to go towards it being more action oriented, I say go for it! Adopt Mass Effect's combat system completely, or go back to KOTOR's system. But leave no trace of the rubbish MMO style number pressing combat.

This. I found myself looking at my skill menu more than the combat, and i literally played the game fighting every enemy the same way, and i only used certain skills to quicken battles, such as cold on dragons/fire demons, ect ect.

I also want crafting to MEAN something please...i swear, i sorta loved the rune crafting in awakening because i HAD to do it, i want more like that. And please please please, take away useless items...i personally never found a use for the weapon coatings. How ever i did use the little grenade flasks, but only as a warrior, other than that they were rather useless...Im not saying take out crafting and coatings all together, just make them more meaningful, give them a purpose rather than "You can use this, but you don't have to.." I want a "Gather these plants to make a potion to cure his poison!" or something...Maybe a little side quest, i donno...

And uh...perhaps a KotoR style bash system? Where if we don't have the dex to open a door/chest we can bash it open, please? I was rather frustrated that every time i traveled i had to have a rogue with me just to unlock chests.

The stupid loot I get when questing. Why am I still getting Frostrocks, and Grey Iron weapons right before I'm about to face the Archdemon? I've beaten the game 4 times and STILL don't know what Frostrocks are for. If I kill an Ogre, I want good loot. The Demonic Ichor was worthless to me since I didn't use poisons. Speaking of poisons... get rid of the poisons, traps, etc. It's just unnecessary fluff.

Edit:  Also, no more "jockeying to get into line for an attack."  Supposedly, this has been fixed already.  I would also like better spell descriptions.  Right now, most of the spells give a brief description, but no mention of how much damage it actually does based on your stats, how long the duration, how much of a debuff it actually is, how much protection it offers, etc.  This is important because there are quite a few similar spells in the available abilities.  Why should I pick one Shield Shroud, or whatever it's called, as opposed to Shimmering Shield?

Also, keep the Rune Crafting system from Awakenings.  Having to search for Expert, Master, and Grandmaster runes got irritating in DA: O.  Allowing me to simply construct them given the right set of skills worked much better.

Also, a bash system for locked boxes.  I don't like being forced to bring a Rogue with me everywhere I go.

I agree with this, and also while we're at it, if there isn't a bash system make worth my while to have a rogue in the party to unlock stuff (or come back with one to unlock the stuff I missed), because a couple times I did go back to unlock chests when my unlock skill wasn't high enough, and instead found the chests full of garbage. If it's going to take a high unlock skill, if you don't wanna give me extra armor at least give me some gems or something I can sell for a high price =\\

As for the combat, I liked it--reminded me of Baldur's Gate II more than WoW or whatever. But I was playing on PC, and spent most of my time in the overhead tactical view. As long as they keep it so you can still pause and think about how best to deploy everyone I'll be happy. But whoever said the spell talents got to be too much is right--I'm in the middle of Awakening now and totally have nooooo idea what to spend the rest of my ability points on because I've already maxed out the talents I wanted, and now my talent bar is packed. It'd be cool if they made it so you could expand the talent bar a la WoW to be double tiered or have a partition off to the side or whatever so you could fit more of the ridiculous amount of skills you have XD

No. I don't agree with any of this. Not even a little bit. In fact I'm tempted to try and pass my hand through the screen and slap you. (that was meant humorously, don't take it seriously) If there is anything from DA:O that I absolutely do not want to see taken away from DA][ it is the combat. The combat sytem was nearly perfect. I accept tweaking, but do not change anything about the basic mechanics of it.

Perhaps we could have the ability to switch between talent bars? I was irritated that i would put all my skills on one talent bar and just switch weapons, just to have useless stuff on the talent bar. I am kinda hoping we have a talent bar for each weapon switch, but please give us multiple talent bars, atleast 2...i was a very irritated mage, could barely fit the spells i wanted on the talent bar.

1. No more characters kissing with their eyes open. Creepy.

2. No more granny panties in sex scenes. They must GO.

3. No more kiss cutscenes in place of sex cutscenes every time you sleep with your LI again. Just give me a shorter sex scene damn it.

Because Elves cause cancer. Cancer and aids. Do you like cancer and aids?

Dwarves on the other hand cure scurvy and make nug pie.
