I'm currently replaying BG1 and decided to give the widescreen mod and the widescreen GUI a shot. It all works fine and dandy asides from the dreaded jagged fog of war. For those of you who don't know what I mean, here is a picture (from BG2, but you'll get the idea: http://i783.photobuc...us/Untitled.png).

If I play in 16 bit mode these artifacts disappear but the game becomes very choppy/slow. I'm running Windows 7 x64 with a GTX 285.

Any help is appreciated!

Have you enabled 3D acceleration in the configuration options? And have you put the graphics tab at the very top?

Edit: Are you playing standard BG1 or Tutu? BG1 doesn't have any graphical settings as far as I'm aware, but Tutu uses the BG2 configuration settings.

I'm using a vanilla installation of BG1 + ToSC. Tutu makes the game far too easy imo.

You could always try SCS ... makes the game frustratingly difficult, but rewarding none the less.

The DirectX control panel did the trick, thanks!

I'll take a look at SCS as well.
