I agree majority of people played as Male Shep but 80%?!
Also only 50% of people completed Mass Effect 2?!

I don't have the stats, but could it be taking into account individual characters that haven't finished it? I know I've started a lot of characters but stopped playing them once I got in game and saw what their face looked like.

I siad this in another thread, but I'm pretty sure the statistics are just misleading.

The 80% male Shepard stat is probably just saying how many people have male Shepards amongst their alts, not how many people exclusively play male Shepard or consider male Shep their main. There should be a female Shepard stat right next to it, and it will not be 20%.

I think people are just mad the stats aren't conforming to what they want it to be

I wonder how they're gonna interpret the fact that only half of the players actually finished the game. Did these players lose interest or due to something else?

These numbers numbers appear very "round" to me. 50%, 80%, etc. Still, BW doesn't gain anything by fiddling with these numbers, so they must be correct.
