I like my Soldier because I can lead my team anywhere. Just a bit difficult with a more fragile character to be leading all the time... Having said that, I am enjoying my Vanguard right now.

I mean I know that people play shepards of either sex on regular basis but if that percentage is indicative of anything I'd like to see the hardcore Fem-Shep advocating brigadeers stop refuting that it is a smart commercial maneuver to cater more toward male-shepard players

I'm surprised you're not into Sentinels then. Fragility is definitely not one of their problems.

How... interesting. Half of us loss interest halfway through the game.
In any given game usually the majority of players do not beat the game

Why? It doesn't actually prove that's the case. We have no information on why so many people used an MShep. For instance, how many were just too lazy to bother with doing anything but clicking through the start-up screens? We also have no information on how many played a FemShep. Personally, I don't think either claim (smart commerce/not smart commerce) is at all provable based on current info, so people shouldn't be making them. Not that it matters, because people are going to keep arguing about it anyway.

Maybe there were alot of people who made a custom Shep and didn't like his/her face and started over?
That's me right there. Most of my characters were scrapped trying to get a good face.
Interesting data, though. Proves many forum polls are crap.

They are accurate for the forum population.
They arent for the whole amount of gamers who played though.

Also is 50% of people who completed the games actually players of characters. Cause I've started the game with more than one character, but i haven't finished it with all the characters.

Not entirely sure what the 80% male shep stat is supposed to mean. Is it 80% of players created a male character, leaving 20% of players femshep exclusive, or is it 80% of all characters created were male, 20% were female.

Interesting, yes. What it proves is, to the say the least, debatable. And forum polls were crap anyway: they're about as non-representative a sample as you could ask for. Same goes for 99% of internet polls in general.

I think all it means is 80% of players played as a male character at some point. Or at least, that's all we can extract from it. It gives us basically zero information on how many also played a female and how many played exclusively as a male or vice-versa. If they actually meant something else by it, they did a terrible job of making that meaning clear.
