How do you set things up so that you can post a screenshot in these forums, or create a link? I tried using snapfish, but it was so slow I wanted to gnaw my arms off and poke my eyes out with the bloody stumps. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I personally use picassa via blogger. If you select to "use the standard form" before posting, you get options like the ability to post links.
word of warning, anything you have typed in the quick reply is lost when you click "use the standard form".

I use Photobucket, m'sef. Picasa, Photobucket, Viewbug, ImageShack, all are viable and useful for posting shots. Be aware, you must take a screen shot, save it as a file from a picture application *(such as MS Paint, PS, GIMP, etc), then post to the website, then link back to here. It's not a simple, "Press PrtScr, upload to the forums," kind of deal. Would that it were so simple. I think you can also post your photos right here on the site in your account under My Photos, but I have yet to attempt that, so can't say for sure.

Thanks, DNO. I have Picasa and will try to fiddle with that.

It's an orc roast!
Thanks for the help Kamalpoe and DNO. This makes things much easier!

That's as may be, Eguinter, but I have my digital photo albums on Photobucket and had them there before the joys of forum image linking was known to me. So them's where it is for me. I don't mind registering for a service that I use regularly and acts as a sort of minor 'focal' point for one of my favorite long term activities -- photography.
I am sure that others feel differently, which is why I listed the ones that came readily to mind. Did I not mention ImageShack? Yup, right there at the end of the list...
best regards,
