But ZennExile is the penultimate. Rubbish Hero would get crushed by his awesomeness

The only notable things Heroes do in their life is fall in battle

Not Super Sentai heroes  :P

I'll never understand how, though. The great thing about interwebs is they place no barriers between bare ****** and those who wish to appreciate bare ******. Why spend X dollars on games for bare ****** when interwebs gives fo' freez?

Has The Witcher been influenced by Lord of the Rings?

Nahh, it was a book before the game came out. It's quite original, especialy with the racist tension there is between humans and non humans.

But was the book influenced by the Lord of the RIngs?

Or Greek Mythology?
Norse Mythology

The Pagan Gods of our ancestors

Satan

Honestly, I don't think the Witcher is influenced much by the Lord of the Rings. If you're looking for a direct style influence, then look to Elric, Conan, Fafhrd and the Gray Mouser, and the classic sword and sorcercy genre over the epic styling of the lord of the rings. The actual mythology, I would guess comes from Polish legend (it's a polish book series).

There are a good number of similarites between The Witcher and the Dragon Age. The most clear link is the downright dirty and depressing tone of both, and the portrail of Elves as either scavangers or second class street vermin living in alienages is present in both.

Art wise, I'm not sure what one of the previous posts was on about, because in my opinion you could interchange a large number of places in either game and they wouldn't be out of place.

Of course there are huge numbers of differences if you look for them, but DA2 is going to be more actiony, with more defined classes, and The Witcher is a classical description of an action RPG. Art style and mood setting is similar.

I'd personally say that The Witcher has played some part in shaping the direction of DA2, but not a huge one.

No, but it has been influenced by the b*tcher (a.k.a Rubbish hero).

Sorry, I just couldn't get over Rubbish heroes continous whining. With any luck it won't be long until this is locked anyway.
