I had to reformat my PC and as a result my ME2 install is all haywire, it runs if i put in the CD, but i cant patch or update because my PC thinks i dont have ME2 insalled?!

I cant Uninstall and Re-Install because i have moved house twice since buying ME2 and the case is long gone, is there anyway of recovering the CD Key from a file my PC might have kept?

Im using Windows 7, and like i said, the game runs fine when i insert the CD... although i did lose my save files

Not to worry, i solved my problem.

My brother doesnt play his anymore so im getting his CD Key.

So you lost your ME2 case with the CDkey because you moved twice and you can't update cause you reformated your pc?

first off all, if you reformated your PC, howcome ME2 is still on it? reformating deletes everything on your PC, even windows. So it's kinda hard to believe ME2 survive the reformating.

And to answer your question; no, sorry, your screwed, the only way to reinstall ME2 is to buy it again so you can have another CD key.

EDIT: or get the CD from your brother.

oh sorry, i thought reformat is when you install windows and everything again, i installed windows again but kept the partition that has my games on it, but yeah, theyre all messed up now =[

You had to register your key on this ite to get the ME2 icon below your avatar, so I imagine it may be stored on this site.



Whether it's accessible, I don't know.
