After all, Bioware did it in Jade Empire, with Silk Fox and Dawn Star.

I still can't believe that Dawn Star and Silk Fox did that.

Cheat on a girl IRL then try to explain you want to have a 3 way, see what happens

Edit: Although I agree with earlier posters, it is kind of lame. The Silk Fox and Dawn Star I thought was funny and kind of lessened the impact of the relationships.

Hawke is not a king, he is just the Champion of Kirkwall as far as we know.

Zevran is open to multiple partners but not leading someone else along who expects monogamy or your commitment.
I suppose the writers could include a character who sees nothing wrong with polygamy but I doubt they will. They flirted with it during the DN origin but that's as far as I see it going.

You should be allowed your choice, along with the consequences.

But ultimately, they can only put so many choices and consequences in one game. The choices we can make really depend on what the writers give us and that's the way it has to be (imo) for the story to be any good.

I agree (I think?). In both DAO and ME, you are allowed to say "Hey, why can't I keep both of you?" and the end result is not what you desire, of course.
There are very, very few people who are open to polygamy. Even if one person in your party is, the chances of having two people in that party with the same tastes? Uh-uh. I think the Dawn Star/Silk Fox thing was really, really stretching it. It came off as more of a wet dream then anything to do with their characters.

I always found it odd when Liara was like "Okay! Can we bang now? :D" immediately after that scene.

It really does depend though. The dwarven kingdoms actually seem to encourage a polygamy style situation with many lower caste women offering themselves up to higher caste males. Even the nobles in Fereldan seem willing to allow political marriages with a mistress provided you aren't flaunting it.
Of course that isn't really polygamy just open relationships.
