That's a great point.

Especially because Alistair has very obvious I'm-trying-to-deal-with-the-situation jokes, and they way he flirts doesn't seem like one of them. It just bothered me because, at that point, he could very well be your fiance, or maybe worse--you're his mistress, and you're going to have to deal with him and another woman very soon. Nice to get some practice in, eh, Alistair?

I dunno, I'd be fine with it as long as it is difficult to acquire. Like Leliana having an orgy with yourself and Isabela. She has to be hardened (which was a hard thing to do on your first blind run) and you needed a Coercion skill of 3 out of 4. Why is it that Leliana, who swings both ways and is hardened thus has nothing against orgy's and Zevran who also swings both ways and has nothing against orgy's can't be romancable at once? I mean, they have a 4-way with the Warden (thus they aren't possessive) and a complete stranger.



As for Morrigan, I dunno. I always took that banter as a way to get under his skin just like what Leliana does to him. Purely out of entertainment. I never took it as anything serious.



As for Liara... yea that part was awkward... Very awkward. Leliana is obviously bisexual so I don't think she would have disapproved of a 3-way (I wonder how she will act with Miranda in LotSB?) but the way Ashley/Kaidan roasts both you and her right there then storms out followed immediatley by her inviting you to her room is a bit strange.

I think it should be mentioned that the Dawn Star/Silk Fox threeway in Jade Empire is for guys only. Women are still required to be monogamous.



There will most likely be a required choice of your bed-buddy in DA2, just as I'm sure there will most likely be a romance-all mod that will remove those pesky restrictions.

...Should I point out that just because a man isn't raised under strict moral and religious codes, doesn't mean that he'll be open to polygamy in a relationship? I'm talking about committed polygamy, not open-relationship type. I'm not sure a lot of guys would say they'd honestly want two wives, for any reason. Having a girlfriend willing to sleep with another chick? Yeah, that I can see. But not being in a committed relationship with more then one person.

Another thing people don't seem to take into consideration is fantasy vs. reality. We often imagine things (especially things of a sexual nature) to be better than they most often turn out to be in real life. Sure, having a threesome could be fun. But try to turn that into a stable, loving relationship? It's very unlikely to turn out well. It's hard enough to manage a relationship with one other person. Then toss in the feelings, wants and needs of another person on top of that? Good luck.

I think that's a big reason we look to explore such fantasies through video games. There's no emotional risk to anyone involved, which is never the case in real life.

Also, I should perhaps point out that a bit of my problem with this lies in hypocrisy--let's say you're a guy with two girlfriends, both aware of each other. Now, it would be incredibly unlikely to find to bisexual girls that treat both you and the other as a significant other. Say, Dawn Star and Silk Fox. But, let's say they are.



Thing is, would you really be okay if the situation was reversed, and one of them found a guy that they were really attracted to, and wanted you to be with them, too? I have a feeling most people would react jealously. Having two girlfriends is cool--your girlfriend hooking up with another guy is not.



If your girlfriends were aware of each other and not attracted to one another, then would you really be okay with her marrying and sleeping with another man?
