See, and that's really where the whole fantasy vs. reality thing I mentioned comes into play. With feelings. I don't think anyone wants to share another person when it comes to that kind of relationship. Even people who say they're okay with the no-strings kind of sex. I would dare say that any kind of sex is going to have at least some emotional impact on everyone involved. It's an intimate thing, and you can't downplay that fact.

I may hate myself in the morning but here goes

It's up to the participants in a relationship to set their own boundaries. If one member is fine with another exploring his sexual fantasies with an third party it doesn't mean their partner has to reciprocate and grant the same favor.

This isn't to say you should take advantage of what your partner is willing to do and you should be mindful of the situation you'll be walking into. But just because your partner is willing to do something doesn't mean you personally should have to or feel obligated to do so. 

So just have a 3 way one time?

I want my fantasy to have some reality--and having a full-fledged polygamist relationship doesn't scream realism to me. I mean, chances of? I don't see why BioWare should devote precious resources of their romances to something as fanservicey as Dawn Star and Silk Fox was instead of focusing on developing meaningful monogamous relationships.

Sure, you can have an incredibly detailed and complex polygamist relationship on virtue of what it concerns, but I almost feel like something like that could only be handled well at the expense of monogamist relationships. As I said, I don't think finding a party full of people that are alright with polygamy is in any way realistic.

Probably once, to see what happens and for roleplaying purposes. Beyond that? No. Personally, it would make me like them less. I know Zevran is open about that sort of thing, but I do believe that once he's in love, he doesn't want to share. Alistair definitely wouldn't.

Again, it just seems like fanservice rather than anything to do with the character themselves. I would vastly prefer realistic characters over polygamy. Maybe I should make it clear that I'm not a yaoi fan, though. [smilie]../../../images/forum/emoticons/tongue.png[/smilie]
