So will we be seeing the Adept upgrade any time soon?

I wasn't exactly sure which category this should be posted in, but it is about player builds so it will suffice.
And sorry if this has been recently answered, but anyhow.
Not that long ago, Christina Norman (I think) teased on her Twitter that Adepts would be getting a buff, and went on to say "who says we will wait until ME3!" So it is safe to say that it will be released in either a update or DLC.
The Lair of the Shadow Broker is coming out today. (Only recently turned the 7th in the UK) and since Liara may well be a adept type- will we be seeing the changes sooner, or is this a question of later?

Thanks for any answers you can give. :)

Edit- And whilst we are ontopic, what would YOU like to see included with the Adept upgrade?
Could be anything from Biotic recharge times, to the weapons available to the Adept. Be creative. :)

I might of overlooked something, however from what I have seen, no new information about it being part of the new DLC coming out today. However it is a possibility, and I hope it does. Because Adept is on of my favourites.

Who said there would be an adept upgrade? People on this forum seem to believe it based on something Christina Norman said a long time ago about looking forward to playing her adept. It doesn't have to mean anything other than what it says.

If they really did plan to upgrade adepts, why not work it into the advertisement?

It didn't mean HER adept, it meant that they were working on buffing up the Adept class. Of course I was sceptical it meant anything fantastic but it seemed to be discussed about on the forum at the time, and it would've been interesting, even a slight tweak.

And as for advertising it, that was exactly what I thought. They might of sneaked it in to give players a surprised when they load it up, but it would most definitely be a thing that players would be told before hand so they can get there adepts playthroughs ready.

In one thread someone linked to a twitter(iirc) post by Christina saying that she didn't get permission to release the info early, but would explain fully on release day of LotSB, all the details of how the Adept will be buffed. It is supposed to help all classes some, but really help the Adepts. So this sounds like a upgrade/achievement/new bonus talent that Adepts would get good use out of, but could help all some. Please don't ask me to find the exact post, just can't do it, but it was on the Bioware forums so feel free to look.

Whether or not the Adepts get a buff, doesn't really bother me, because I can use them well the way they are, but making them more powerful is an added plus.

You will just have to wait until Canadian time Tuesday to see what is going to happen.

Thanks very much for the reply! And no, I wouldn't ask you to go searching for it, I shall browse around see what I can find, but that has helped alot. Thank you for clearing that up. :)

I think the Adept is fine at the moment.

Ok, I thought about it and had a pretty good idea where the thread was, so I went looking, and found it.

Other than some more weapon upgrades, LotSB brings the Stasis bonus power.

I'm POed that I still can't purchase LotSB at 11:44 am here on the east coast. I thought I was going to be able to download and beat it before going to bed last night.

Indeed, I think this was the buff they were hinting at - assuming Stasis benefits from the Biotic Cooldown/Duration upgrades, and the Adept passive.

Can (Bastion) Adepts damage enemies in Stasis while no other classes can do it like it was in ME1?

Honestly I would have assumed that such an upgrade would benefit the Sentinel more than anything...

And, of course, if stasis allows warp explosions....

OMGZ0RZ.... :lol::lol::lol:

I'm afraid I can't download/test the DLC until I get home from work... It's hard enough getting info on this thing without being exposed to the Lair spoilers <_<

The wiki seems to indicate that targets become immune to your damage over time, rather than the second you trap them. Can anyone confirm?

Just read the wiki page - does not say much about damage effects etc. this will need some proper testing.

I did. What I was referring to was this:

Enhanced Stasis

* Increases the penetration of Stasis so that targets build up less resistance to its effects. Targets become immune more slowly.
o Recharge Time: 12.00 seconds
o Duration: 9.00 seconds

To me that means bullets - I don't see the point in them becoming immune to stasis itself - you'd never need to lock down an enemy more than once, right? But I could of course be wrong.

Ahh, I follow you now :)

I really hope that you can shoot through it, or that if you can't, it can at least stop protected enemies.

It would give another great CC power to Adept, but unless Adepts get some damage bonus against Stasis compared to other classes, I think Sentinel (as usual :D) would benefit even more thanks to superior CD reduction.

Gotta say I feel the same way. That's why I thought it was going to be something other than a bonus power.

Indeed - that and lacking any proper CC besides the crappy Cryo blast.

I wonder if Stasis has travel time?

Dammit, can't wait for the work day to end :pinched:

To be honest, if it worked the same way as it did in ME1 it probably won't offer that much, as Heavy Singularity functions in a similar method to Stasis did as it is.

'Course, it it allows warp explosions in defended opponents... ay carumba... :P

Even so, Sentinel will still benefit the most from what we know. It was precisely what the needed ;)

Yeah that description fits it perfectly. It's essentially a statis that becomes pull when once you strip defenses. I hadn't really thought of it that way until you brought it up.
