So you can't stasis control one that's assuming control? Singularity to the rescue!

Yup thats what I was thinking. Earlier I was playing on my Adept and ran into harbinger and used stasis then turned away from him assuming it worked. Well I found out it didnt when he was literally breathing down my neck. Singularity to the rescue in that case :P

Was he making a pithy remark, like "This hurts me more than it hurts you..." Wait, sorry, childhood rearing it's head. He says "This hurts you, Sheppard" or some such. That's when I usually singularity him and turn him to dust. Good thing I'm not in therapy. I'm sure the psych would claim i have repressed issues with authority figures or something.

Actually he was saying "If I must tear you apart Shepard, I will." To which I thought, "kinky" >.>

Statis is the power that gives to adept an opportunity to rush near an enemy and do some close combat, point blank with a shootgun for exemple.;. The same with the other class.

Player hat on...

I love shockwave on insanity used it a lot on my vanguard. For husk rushes like on horizon I usually kite them and strip their defenses off and then finish the crowd with a shockwave. You could do the same with aoe charge but I usually go heavy.

Shockwave is also nice because of it's reliability. Perhaps I am lazy but when I want to strip an enemy's defenses on insanity shockwave is just a nice reliable way to knock him out of cover.

Same Christina, I've said it before but when dealing with a husk swarm Shockwave the group, then strip defense off the front-liners, then shockwave again... just kinda rinse-repeat that process usually ends up with no one taking a hit and a lot of chunked up dead husks all over the place.

Then the whole cover thing, though I find they always back up in the direction there facing, so if its high cover you usually still can't shoot em. Which is one reason I think yall should look into a ultidirectional stumple animation for stun stuff. I've charged enemies and had them stumble through to my back cause I charged there... backside.

Proposition: I'm willing to believe that Shockwave is useful on Insanity if you're willing to get rid of it as a prerequisite skill to get Pull.

I would support a seperate cooldown length between veteran and below and hardcore and above. on veteran, the 6s cooldown is justified because shockwave is a biotic freight train which easily disrupts multiple enemies. on hardcore and up, you're getting a 1/2s stagger effect or occasionally chucking an unlucky collector off a platform for the same cost.

Its one of the few skills which scales really really badly with difficulty. I would know, my second ever playthrough (so long ago) was a vanguard which had never learned to use charge properly on normal. trying to kill things on hardcore with shockwave nearly broke me.

though the good thing was that it drove me here. and since then, I have become a much, much better player.

... so, uh, thats my life story... back to you, kids.

I prefer full cryo :) seeing all them break to pieces in unison is very satisfying.

When you say 'full cryo' do you actually mean 'squad cryo'? if not, you're missing out...

EDIT: wait, wait, are you talking about cryo ammo or cryo blast?

Cryo blast buddy :P . Although I d use squad cryo on my Vanguard for the squad while I use inferno on Shepard. Makes control easy.

Yep. I have no problem with Shockwave on Normal/Veteran - it's like the hand of god on those difficulties and basically renders husks a non-issue. I'd go so far as to say it's one of the reasons I enjoy the Adept so much, as the mayhem it leaves in it's wake is easy pickings for the Adept.

He's a big'un, fer shure. However, I watched Tali stand right next to him with an Evi and disruptor ammo. He was a kitten, just standing there while she scratched his belly.

Then he died.

I was a little disappointed at not having to do anything but clear the lesser geth for her.

I would like to see something like shockwave get a boost agains defenses on higher difficulties. I don't want to see it doing the same thing it does on health only types when they have protection. But, it'd be nice if it atleast did some damage to protections on hardcore/insanity rather than the tickle-me-elmo it does now.

Scion's shockwave does as does Vesir's -- which was a major pain that first LotSB run through, but still fun.

I'm loving the Stasis on my new insanity Vanguard run. It makes most fights almoast to easy. In a lot of ways it's much easier then my previous Vanguard runs with area reave and crippling slam as bonus powers. Mordin's and Grunt's loaylty missions were probabley the most casual missions in the game. Charging krogan? Use stasis. Charging pack of varren? Use stasis on one of them, finish the other and come back to finish the last one.
It's also very usefull on low-tier enemies like husks and defense drones. It bypasses all protection and it's basically an insta kill. Any husks I encountered, I used stasis on one of the proteced ones, striped the defenses on the next one, then used squad insta kill powers like concussive shot or pull to finish him off. And then I used stasis again on one of the protected husks. Super easy anti-husk tactic. I've found it much easyer then striping defenses and using shockwave tactic that Ms. Norman mentiond a couple of posts back.

Also another thing worth mentioning. I used stasis on a scion in a collector ship mission. The one that is on a moving platform going left and right. The scion froze and the platform moved away, leaving him hanging in the air. As he unfroze, there was nothing beneath for him to land on, so he just fell down into abyss. lol I didn't have to fire my weapon once to kill that one scion. This also works on collectors on moving platforms.
All in all it's a really really good bonus skill. One of the best. And personally I think Vanguards benefit most from it.

Here's my build if anyone wants to try it out also.
Inferno ammo
Squad cryo ammo
Heavy Charge
Shockwave (1point, although I'd much rather have this 1 point in pull)
Champion (faster cooldowns and longer duartion for stasis)
Enhanced Stasis

Nice find. :) That's the scion alright.

He also has some other intersting stasis stuff on his chanel. Worth checking out.
