I was close. Long time friend of mine is a loading suprivisor at a UPS hub so I had that term in my head.

Your also not kidding. That same friend went to work at the local hub after highschool 10 years ago. He was making almost 60k a year as a part time supervisor 2 years ago and since then I know he has moved into the full time job. I could not believe it I made him show me his slips.

unlike fedex, UPS takes care of their people and properly classifies them as employees rather than contractors. if KBR was still hiring for fuel tanker positions in the UAE, i'd have already been over there. the guaranteed minimum for the first year is $120,000. the first $85,000 is untaxed. to get it, one must be there for 360 consecutive days without being sent home in a casket or due to injury, or due to be resigning/being terminated. the fuel tankers are mostly explosive when they're half full or more empty. it's the fumes that make those tankers rolling bombs.

University Student, political science.

And with a group of friends we conduct alcohol research on ourselves (due budget restraint, currently looking for sponsors).

I'd rather not say too much about my personal life.  In general, on the side I do a lot of reading, scuba diving, help teaching and I go to see broadway shows at least once a month.  It's a good life.  Image IPB  I have plenty of work to do but I enjoy what I do, so it never feels like work.

That's interesting. Why alcohol research? You taking classes in psychology for something?

I'm married and have two daughters. I received a degree in geology 24 years ago, and worked in the field for a few years, but now work part time in a book store (all the books I can read!) My wife 'brings home the bacon', which is why I'm under no pressure to get a 'better' job. In fact, the one I have is just gravy.

I'm pretty sure he means he wants to get wasted with his friends after class but needs money to do it.

Im one of the 75% of the population here who is unemployed. I also spend too much time dealing with people who are so stupid I'm half convinced I just imagined them.

I am a quality assurance design analyst at a well-known Canadian videogame developer. in what little spare time i have, i play games (RPGs, videogames, miniatures), sing in a local a cappella group, help to run an annual science fiction festival, and write. And somewhere in there, I also hang out with friends and my girlfriend. it's a pretty full life.

I do as little as possible...only enough to get me by. I know that's not really what you were asking but it's definitely true!

It's a poorly designed LARP game with crappy level-up mechanics, no reloads, and you can't win at the end, no matter what path you choose.
