Can anyone fill me in on how best to prepare for this DLC storywise? Does one need to complete Awakening for this to make the best sense or is it alright to just finish DA:O?
Since Morrigan don't have anything to do with Awakening, you can just start of after DA:O

So its being released (in London) on XBL at 12?
Well Tuesday is big marketplace update day and things generally go up between 11.30 and 12.30ish.
Sometimes maybe a little later but that's the time most things come out.
If it helps you normally can download it from Xbox.com a few minutes earlier.

I recommend awakening for stat reasons, The strider looks like it'll be hard and I wouldn't take it on if I was under level 30-31. Of course this is just my opinion, its entirely up to you.
Are you saying, that this DLC is level dependent when importing?

Assuming it's the same as Golems of Amgarrak, the difficulty with scale depending on the character level you use.

More like he's saying that you wont have as many tools to use if you play the DLC as a level 26 character as a level 30- 31 character would have.

Yeah, I'd imagine the DLC will scale to the level of your Warden. And I doubt there will be any references to Awakening in it, at least any major ones.

That's good news, but if indeed it does have references to Awakening, I would hate to get dissapointed that I might have missed some experience had I not played Awakening before this. I do own it, I simply haven't had the chance to get to it due to the fact that I am still working on a canon through DA:O....so if it would be best to wait, I wouldn't mind if it means I could experience the DLC to it's fullest potential.Brockololly wrote...
