No, it's not the shut up & leave it attitude. It's easy to jump on the Bioware-hate bandwagon. Yes the dlc should be working, but this stuff happens with many games & developers. People are not perfect therefore don't expect DLC to always be perfectly bug-free. Should it be fixed when there's an issue? Of course. However, it's nothing to cry over and lose sleep over. It's a video game, and ANY REAL FAN will know that Bioware isn't some evil company out to ruin your day and neither is EA. Sure EA is money-hungry but Bioware is always focused on quality. They will probably fix the dlc. People pushed and pushed and pushed spamming the forums to have the dlc released and when it was, apparently it was a bit too early but could you imagine the forums if they had to push it back even further? They were damned if they do and damned if they don't. At least now you can play the game, get whatever ending you get and then if & when there's a fix there is some replay value for you. Also, having saves at the very end if you didn't get your proper ending might save you some time. Saving often & in several slots should be something people who play video games, especially RPG's are used to.
If you dont want people to think thats the attitude your presenting then you obviously should not have written what you did.
This isnt about jumping on the hate wagon just for the sake of it, thats
a gross exaggeration of what people are complaining about.
The bugs in the DLC so far, and the Awakening expansion, dont stem from the common mishaps that always appear in games. But from either rushed development, bad programming or pure lazyness (probably a mix). Its not acceptable to sell products which have such a high chance of not working as intended, and people are in their right to complain about it. Now IF Bioware had actually released patches postrelease fixing the glaring bugs weve been reminding them off since Awakening, then I would have more faith in things being just a mishap which would be fixed post haste. But so far the support as been lacking in that department.
No one in this community forced Bioware to reveal the final DLC ahead of time, infact had they not said anything about Witch Hunt no one would be the wiser about it. So thats not really a valid argument.
So your saying that I and others should just play the DLC and be happy about the state its in, even if we dont get the ending were supposed to? And then hope for a fix to come so we can try it again? Yeah, thats not how consumer satisfaction works. No one should ever see themselves satisfied with playing a broken product and just be happy about it until a patch fixes it, if it even gets fixed. That kind of attitude will just lead to an acceptance of broken products.
Again If we the community dont actually let Bioware know theres something wrong with one of their products, then they wont know theres something wrong.
Im sorry I dont get what you mean with the save game reference, was it aimed at me?
