To say I didnt get what I expected is an understatement. I literally feel ripped off. As such I've given up on the whole franchise. I've lost all confidence in Bioware/DAO team.
see you around the net.

Stone Prisoner was a free promotional offer for me and I did not get Darkspawn Chronicles, so my DLC's only cost $65 for a total of $105. I've played through the game 20+ times now and I'm averaging 120 hrs for Origins and all DLC's. I thoroughly enjoy the game - haven't played anything else since I started in Feb 2010.
What is the cost of $5 or $7 once a month? I spend half that much on coffee everyday.

The only thing I enjoyed about it was the Circle, it was actually new and unique. The rest of it was a flat out failure

Why does it make you sad that 57% of people don't hold the same opinion as you do? Just because you don't like something doesn't mean it's bad nor that others shouldn't like it.

I really like to feel immersed in a story, and to be honest when I reached Morrigan I was so excited at the prospect of the promised conclusion of my wardens story and the answers to come ... and then it all went horribly wrong. Morrigan began to completely rewrite history and talk nonsense about our past. Completely baffled I stopped playing and searched the web and ended up reading through pages of complaints from angry players about this bug. I then had to track down the 1.1 patch and spend 2 hours downloading it before I could continue the story ... well obviously by then the moment was lost, the immersion broken and instead of feeling happy and satisfied I felt frustrated, cheated and annoyed.
For real fans of roleplaying games with good storylines this DLC was a great way to completely destroy the Dragon Age experience and leave a very bad taste in the mouth. I loved everything to do with DA:O before this and have every single DLC, but WH was honestly the worst possible thing you could have done to Dragon Age.

And not only because of bugs or length. But because we were told for 2 years, we were told the story of our Warden would go on, and that pledge was broken.

Just confused Moderator-Guy. I know my reasons for hating this game, and from what I've seen on this forum, a majority of the people here feel the same, but for the life of me I just cant wrap my head around why people liked it. Everyone is entitled to their opinion, but I maintain the right to be baffled by it.

OMG how can you make a patch for a few dialoge choice fixes into a 900meg download ? Must be the same skill they used to miss the major bug in one of there smallest & most important moments.
Bioware did not create a patch. They re-coded and recompiled the DLC; that's why it is called version 1.1. They changed more than just dialogue. The code had to be modified to recognize the Dark Ritual flag from the player save file as well as the section that creates the end game save file for Witch Hunt. The code changes were too extensive to be packaged as a simple patch.

hehe yea I new it was whole thing but still its nonsence, the textures didnt change, the landmass didnt change the sound files didnt change at best some got added.
Still does seem fixed & I used a save game from v1 so a bit risky maybe but seemed ok Morri opened with a more apt attitude to a LI, only thing I did notice was the "why betray me" option as a dialoge but maybe thats just a choice tho imo she never did in my game.

Unless it had something to do with keeping the baby away from the darkspawn taint within the Warden. And, of course, once the baby was born and away from the Warden, it would be okay for Morrigan to be in the Warden's presence again.

Awakening was retailed at $39.99
Probably cheaper at most stores now but it wasn't much cheaper than the full game which was $42-$49 depending on where you ordered from.

You are making blatant assumptions. On this forum the majority of people did like Dragon Age. Out of the 9-10 friends I have that own the game: 6 of them thought it was amazing, 2 thought it was alright, 1 didn't like it. The guy that didn't like it does nothing but play video-games every spare moment he gets, and is much more an FPS guy (well, he is a powergamer, he doesn't take to role-playing that well, even in his pen&paper RP games he power-games, which is sometimes unsettling). That is no where near an accurate pool of data, but it is the trend that I have seen, where the majority like it, and a few don't like it, and for those few it is mostly just because of the combat. They often say if the combat was re-done then they would play the game in a heartbeat. Needless to say, the "meh's" and "didn't like" people seem to be eagerly waiting for DA2.
There are only two things I have seen a majority of complaints about, and that was Awakening expansion, and witch hunt. But in terms of the original Origins game, most people seem to have loved it. Coming on here with vitriol comments for those that don't agree with you is rather silly.

posts on this thread, he is a fellow fan of DA, but like many DA
fans, he is not a fan of the Witch Hunt DLC. The poll he is referring
to is this one....
http://social.bioware.com/poll.php?user=1282162&poll_id=11167 I happen to share SonRyu's opinion about Witch Hunt and like him
I'm a huge fan of DA. I started playing video games in high school in
the 1970's, when they originally came out, and I've been playing them
in my spare time ever since. I'm a published fantasy author and even
though that doesn't make my opiinion any greater or less than any
body else's opinion of this DLC it is my opinion. Every story has a
beginning, a middle and an end. Every great story has characters who
you grow to love or hate. My feeling is that this DLC destroyed the
DA story not only because it was unpolished and insubstantial, but
because it plodded through the final chapter of a great story like a
sway-backed horse plodding through a muddy field on its way to the
glue factory just to die a mile short of its destination. Witch
Hunt's complete lake of catharsis took away from the great storyline of DA. Like I said everyone has an
opinion and this is mine. However everyone's opinion should be
respected, whether or not they're contrary to your own.
