1.1 should fix that issue for you.

Victor Wachter wrote...

Witch Hunt version 1.1 is now available for the PC. This updated version contains the following changes:

  • When
importing from a post-game save, your conversation with Morrigan in the
Witch Hunt module will properly reflect the choices you made in Dragon
    Age Origin's "Dark Ritual" plot.
  • The game will automatically save after Witch Hunt's final cutscene.

This new version can be downloaded from your Entitlements page on the Dragon Age social site (http://social.biowar...ntitlements.php).

What an awful DLC. Generic, irrelevant dungeon crawl in recycled areas with a 40 second cameo from the main selling point.

I agree this being the last DLC for DAO is pathetic. G4 called it a big disappointment as well and called it a no buy. Bioware tookok a story that eveyone that had a relationship or not with Morrigan that could have really answered the questions we all had and also give us compeling game play at the same time, like Bioware did with Lair of The Shadowbroker. But instead they gave us a short piece of DLC junk that any good modder could have made.

Boware shame on you for promoting and selling us this cheap DLC for the last DLC installment. You all should be ashamed with yourselves.

so i didnt know about this bug. i imported a character into whitch hunt and planned to go to golems after then awakenings. but at the end of witch hunt these saves dont appear in the golem or awakening imports. but i had 2 saves 1 as the origins and 1 as the witch hunt so i deleted my origins thinking there might have been an issue. and still cant import... is there a fix?

This is NOT a bug but a common misunderstanding among players.

You can only play the expansions in a certain order, namely:  Origins > Awakening > Golems > Witch Hunt

Awakening will only recognize save game files from Origins.
Golems will only recognize save game files from Origins or Awakening.
Witch Hunt will recognize any save game files.

This is the chronological order of things.  Awakening happens 6 months after Origins.  Golems a few months after Awakening.  Witch Hunt happens 2 years after Awakening.

also it seems to me the actual story line should have went: Origins > Witch Hunt > Awakenings > Golems the way you listed it was the actual release of the DL content.

not gonna lie, i am dissapointed in this download, think it was a lil to short and linear, but i really just wanted to see how the ending with morrigan went, turns out, idk i downloaded it to my xbox 360 n turns out none of the choices i made with morrigan from origins went over into witch hunt, she was sayin stuff that i didnt do (ex. deny ritual).

then alot of questions still seemed unanswered and i just do not get this ending

im a lil bit pissed

The ending feels like an unfinished novel where the author died before writing the final chapters! I mean, it makes no sense at all! Talk about a cliffhanger! But this is too much!!

EDIT: Anyway, it was with I had to work with to publish as follows:

Dragon Age - Witch Hunt Special Edition - Celebrating 1 million views of my DA videos Image IPB

It's the craziest ending of all DA DLC's but it brought me some good memories, ones that I was lucky to have in some unpublished videos and now shown here as a flashback of those good old days!

It was a decent DLC in my opinion, and I guess it was worth it to finally see the character of Morrigan again, even if it were very brief.

But I agree with RageGT, it took a cliffhanger and made another cliffhanger branch off of it....then roll credits. I was just staring at it with a "wtf" look on my face after it was over.

Either the team had some writer's block going around, or they wanted to answer it further in DA 2. Hopefully it was the latter.

I have to say that leading up my playthrough, I was on an emotional rollercoaster. I was on a complete high for th month leading up to Witch Hunt's release, drowned in euphoria while waiting to play it, and then disappointed to hear so many DA:Oers bash it. I admit, it's not the soundest, most well put together DLC, but I argue that it wasn't the point. Many of us have speculated and theorized about how Morrigan's significance in the DA universe goes way beyond our Warden's story. Well, here you go. Was it a tedious drawn out fetch quest just to get to the ending? Sure. Was it filled with meaningless characters (minus the Dog of course) mean to just fill out your party. Yep (although they weren't that bad). But DA:O first gave me the opportunity to tailor my own Warden story and the relationships intertwined within. To pick and choose who to include and when. Who to keep and who to let scram. They gave me the freedom to nurture (or ruin), change, and redefine relationships within my party. And with Witch Hunt, they offered me closure and my choice of methods. It was not a full experience, but it answered a lot more questions than people are giving it credit for.

Umm... I don't really know what to make of this. On one hand there is some sense of closure, but on the other hand so much is left unanswered. I like the base idea behind Witch Hunt, but I think it was poorly executed. If this was to be the end for The Warden of story and of song, I would have hoped there would be more grandeur to it. Instead this feels like it was rushed over the weekend because it needed to be on the boss's desk by monday morning.

It's not that this is the first time I'm let down by Bioware's DLCs. Having bought all but one ME2 DLC, I can say they range from yaaawn to ZOMG. BUt even that is sort of/kind of excusable - I have fun playing their games and for the large amount of quality stuff that they make, there's bound to be a dud here and there. My main gripe is that I hoped for an adventure in which Morrigan had more than a cameo appearance (especially since she was my love interest).

Everything I said was already said before, this is just a way to say that I'm not too thrilled with Witch Hunt.

One more thing, I see that there are some people that already dislike Hawke because he/she isn't the warden. I haven't made my mind up as to what I think, but what Morrigan said "Change is coming to the world. Some fear change and will fight it with every fibre of their being. But sometimes, change is what they need most. Sometimes, change is what sets them free." sounds prophetic right now.

I hope that one day The Warden's story continues tbh
