I Played witch hunt and i had always liked morrigan from the beggining, she was a beuty but i found that for this suposed closure for her storyline to be to short for a charector as important as morrigan. In the end i talked to her as much as possible to try and get some facts and long story short i went into the portal with her and she could not tell me where it lead to but i think that the witch hunt DLC as short as it may have been was setting the stage for a possible dragon age 3 because many players chose to make a baby with morrigan and the archdemons soul would go into the baby so she can make a god or somthing out of it. Dragon Age 2 will simply set the stage for dragon age 3 where i think you might have to fight Flemeth....

Some feedback on this thought ?:alien:

Damn this thread is still up? Anyone here votes that it should've been gone and away with by now. Stuffed six feet under and never seen again.

Is Lelianna's Song the best DLC for Dragon Age Origins? Cuz I am only getting one DLC and don't know which one to pick...

Bah. I have mixed feelings. I would have been willing to put up with this incredibly short DLC if the ending was remotely satisfying. Call me a softy if you want, but I was saddened by what Morrigan chose to do at the ending of DA:Origins... but I understand why writers make game/movie/T.V. romances so unsatisfying. Those of us that like a good romance get strung along so that we 'tune in next time' for better or for worse (and there's the occasional gut chuck/face slap that these painful moments can produce... we so love to hate to be exploited). Anyway, I naturally wanted closure from Morrigan. The DLC gives us this, though I imagine anyone like me was hardly satisfied. I would have been willing to swallow the ending if only Morrigan would have given a LITTLE of a hint as to what was going to happen next. All I can say is it leaves me wanting more and fearing that this is truly the end of her.

Leliana's song has a good story as well as Wardens keep.

If you like Leliana get LS.

If you don't like Leliana then get The Keep.

Really, Bioware? This is a rip-off, there's no other way to put it. 1 hour of gameplay (2 at the most), far too easy fights and an ending that downright infuriated me.

What annoys me the most is the way we are tricked into buying it: "Playing Witch Hunt will affect Dragon Age 2! We're not telling you in which way, but you should really buy this DLC!"

Making important story decisions a part of an DLC that has to be bought separately is not a good way to treat the players.

Screw Morrigan. I'd rather have a DLC or another game on what my Warden does on his "travels with Leliana." I at least want to know how they end up dying/if they end up dying?

Now now. If they didn't make witch hunt that wouldn't be fair for the Morrigan fans. Leliana already got her own DLC, and it invovled more than 5 minutes of her.

You want to know what happened after the end? Morri and the warden got WTF PWNED by unimaginable horrors yelling "lol noobs" and the final text on the screen was big FAIL with dramatical musics.

Edit: For some reason that cutscene was sensored. I heard it was done in order to avoid chaos in the forum.

I just recently finished playing Witch Hunt, i felt like it wasnt worth its price.

Probably in the end, the (our) Warden and Hawke will be pitted against each other, its like Flemeth is recruiting her own body guard (Hawke).

I wanted to kill her... but, I didn't have any reason.

I got this with the Ultimate Edition for the 360, so I dont feel quite as ripped off as I probably should...but that doesnt excuse what a complete joke of a DLC pack Witch Hunt is.

First of all, all the locations are reused from Origins and Awakening. BIG NO NO. The only one I was cool with was the Circle Tower, because we at least got to see how the Tower was shaping up after what happened in Origins.

Finn is a neat character, I like him. He's funny and nerdy and cowardly. A nice change of pace, IMO. I didnt care much for the elf girl. Not even enough to remember her name, lol. Unfortunely the DLC is so short and straightforward there's no time to properly get to like either character beyond that.

The battles are a complete joke, save for the boss battles. They're at least challenging, to a degree. It feels more like I'm mindlessly wading through enemies than charging into glorious battle. I'm sorry, but fighting hordes of Deepstalkers isnt exactly fun.

It doesnt feel like an adventure. It feels more like "go here, kill stuff, go there, kill stuff, go over there, kill more stuff, and oh look its Morrigan! Opps, she's gone."

As far as I'm concerned, there is no closure with Morrigan. No way. Not this. It basically goes like this:

Morri - Oh, hi.

Warden - Whats all this?

Morri - Stuff is gonna happen.

Warden - O rly?

Morri - Ya rly.

Warden - Like what?

Morri - Cant talk. Gotta go. Later.

Warden - ...this accomplished nothing.

This is also why I'm not too thrilled for Dragon Age 2. So far I havent heard anything about how your Warden in Origins will actually play into DA2 aside from story choices.

I want proper closure with Morrigan, damn it! And if DA2 doesnt deliver that, I'm not buying. I could honestly care less about Hawke. Screw him, the Warden is the freakin' Hero of Fereldan for Goodness sake!

And he's what, the Champion of Kirkwall? Pfffft. Come back when you slay an Archdemon and end a Blight, noobie.

The problem is that Witch Hunt is a Morrigan romance pack for male characters.  But it was marketed as the end all final chapter of the Warden's story. Witch Hunt has nothing to do with the Warden in general.  It adds nothing, but codex entries.  If the Warden and Morrigan are not in love Witch did not happen. I say this because there was clearly no thought put into non-morrigan romancers.  It makes no sense whatsoever that she waited for a Warden without the ring.  If Bioware was honest about what it really was people may not be so upset.

You have a good point.

Without going into the story at all, the important stuff that happens in Witch Hunt really is dependant on you having romanced Morrigan.

Errr, just finished it, but looking at the online profile, it seems that most of the Witch Hunt codex stuff (Flemeth's Demise, Mabari etc.) has completly vanished from the Story tab, leaving only the Origins + Awakenings + Golems entries.. what's going on?

Overall liked the DLC, but mostly because I consider Morrigan to be my new Viconia, and because I like this game so much that most any new content is good.

Content itself wasn't that much, but I'm not saying that as a complaint,
considering the not too many LIVE points I spent on it, though I would
have liked more environments. (not sure I can say more about that without giving a spoiler really)

I agree with several other posts that it is "tailored" to Warden dudes who are in a romance with Morrigan. I don't mind it personally because I usually play male characters, and plan to have eventual future chars romance her as well, and I like the ending Witch Hunt offers me in that  regard, it did feel rather "meh" when I was playing a female character, however. I felt a bit uninvolved at the end. I blinked, put down the control and there really wasn't a sense of fulfilment I did have during my first playthrough as male.

I'm rarely disappointed but here I am. Honestly I'm like NEVER disappointed about my favorite games. But this was very unsatisfying. I'm glad I got it as part of the Ultimate Edition box so I don't really feel cheated.

The best thing was Finn looking exactly like Steven Tyler. Without the hair, that is.

So here's a pathetic tale.  I played the entire Sirtech Wizardry series, but  hadn't played a computer game in over 10 years.   (I'm 46.)  But my wife of 25 years left me a month ago, and I turned back to RPG to take my mind off it.  A little online research, and DAO seemed clearly the best choice.  And talk about a rebound relationship -- I fell head over heels for Morrigan.

I hated losing her at the end of DAO, and although I went with her at the end of Witch Hunt, it was profoundly unsatisyfing.  She's apparently not in DA2, at least not in any meaningful way.  But bring her back for DA3!  Or how about even a Morrigan-Warden spin-off series?

Did I mention how pathetic this whole thing is?

I totally argee with the last line I am looking from a far to see if anything from DA:O actually matters in DA2 plus the strong possiblity of no PC toolset for DA2 to fix all of the bugs and glitches...

lol I cracked up at the noobie part.

Has it even been mentioned that there will be a Dragon Age 3? I read somewhere a few months back that there aren't any plans to make Dragon Age a trilogy....I really hope that isn't true. Surely, if Dragon Age 3 does end up happening, we'll get the REAL conclusion to the Warden's story, with or without Morrigan. Witch Hunt, while I enjoyed up until the quite abrupt and quick end and my Warden joined Morrigan in the portal, just can't be the TRUE end. It just doesn't even make sense, it's got to be setting the stage for something epic up ahead...Surely.

I found Morrigan's impossible choice (presented towards the end of DA:O) to be surely the most devastating and difficult moments in a game I've ever played. In the end the end cutscenes claimed that Morrigan was never seen again. (in Ferelden or by the Warden or the other characters)

I didn't buy Witch Hunt for the bad reviews and the sheer fact that it is wrong in principle. I thought maybe she'd appear in a sequel (with different characters) in a different land, but to have the gravity of Dragon Age Origins' ending simply brushed aside "Oh, did we say 'never seen again'? Well, here's five bucks worth of dungeon crawling, sorry about the mix-up."

I think Bioware are very good at writing games but (until Mass Effect 2 at least) pretty bad at making them, but the mishandling of a pretty important story element just for an extra cash in bit of DLC is very disappointing. I hope that, gameplay wise, Dragon Age 2 is like Mass Effect 2 was to Mass Effect, but I also hope that you can avoid putting daft spoilers into your DLC for Dragon Age 2 as well (let's have no more "Normandy Crash Site" nonsense please!)
