I agree...2-3 hours after release someone will jump on here and post " You wont believe who the Shadow Broker is!!!!!"

NO!

I'm about to goto bed in a few minutes and I won't be back until probably the first week of October. The next playthrough/Shepard I go with wont be until the first week of October and even with that, I'm starting with ME1 then going over to ME2, completing that then doing the DLC post suicide. I wont to play Halo: Reach and get that broken in and then I'll head back to Mass Effect. With that being said, I wont be downloading this DLC tomorrow so there is no reason for me to stick around because I KNOW someone somehow will spoil it for me.

Besides, who cares about getting someone banned. Bioware is so passive when it comes to banning someone. I could spoil the game for you and all I get is a 24 hour ban....what a slap on the wrist. If I were to spoil the game and if that is the only punch Bioware can pull, what is holding me back from spoiling the game if all I am going to get is a 1-day or 1-week ban? Now a 3 month ban....

Back in the day Resident Evil was my favorite series...that ended when 5 came out...but anyways...I had waited 5 YEARS for Resident Evil 5...and I go onto a forum several days before the launch...and a guy had possibly the most biggest spoiler you could imagine IN his thread title and actually had the nerve to put "spoiler" in it...as if the title itself wasnt already the biggest spoiler there was...Anyways I went loco and got banned from the forum by calling him everything negative I could think of....and had I been a ME fan by then...I woulda called him a boshtet too

It will probably be a while until I come back to these forums. The first Shepard that will experience this DLC would be a Pro-Human female who didn't romance Liara so even after I finish it with her, I still wont come here because there are parts of the DLC I don't know about yet, like the romance part.

I'll be okay with Halo: Reach, Medal of Honor, Fable 3, New Vegas, and Black Ops to keep me busy.

Some time after 7pm australian eastern standard time. Overlord didn't make it out till at least 8 last time though.

I see your point.  I really don't know how long the bans are, or even how effective they've been, but what I do know is that I will be staying away from the forums until after I've played LotSB on the weekend anyway (PC's getting serviced).  I almost got burned before the release of ME2 by people getting early copies and posting spoilers, so I've no inclination to repeat that this time round.
When I do have a crack at it though, I'll happily post my spoiler-free impressions.

Not to mention days before ME2 came out, despite this forum being a haven for spoiler threads and replies....there was not ONE moderator around, not even that Javier dude and he is always here.

Sorry, but when it comes to defending their readers from spoilers, I don't trust them. I understand that they cant help it if a person post a spoiler, but they can help the punishment that goes with it and thats where they are soft. If I knew that I am just going to get a 1-week or even a 1-month ban for spoiling the story, then I would go ahead and do it for giggles. But if I were to get a multi-month ban, then I would think twice.

I think that is what the problem is. People know that they are just going to get a slap on the wrist.

Don't know if you were here or not but the same thing happen here for ME2. About maybe 4 or 5 days before it was to come out some guy just spam these forums with spoilers in the title. None the less a lot of us were spoiler for the ending before we even got our hands on it =/ After 2 years of waiting it was a real disappointment.

Oh god yeah...When ME2 was coming out...I literally avoided all forums and video game related sites for 3 months...No way was I going to let someone ruin it for me



When I downloaded the "collector assault rifle and armor" I literally thought the term collector was literal...as in collecting sports cards....thats how careful I was about avoiding ME2 before it came out.

Again, you can like or dislike Lair of the Shadowbroker and give your opinions, but avoid spoilers. Posting how long it took you to play is NOT a spoiler. Posting thinsg you liked or disliked can be spoilers, so be careful waht you say.

We do not know exactly when Lair of the Shadowbroker will be available on Xbox Live. I believe the plan is for the PC to go live around 10am tomorrow morning (yes we do everything Edmonton, or MST, time). I am sure some helpful person will say when it is available for download through XBL.

want to play shadow broker dlc and witch hunt dlc so much im confused about which games to play first (i'm doing a whole new playthrough for each dlc)
