Just a technical note for people about the 'error they get when using x64'. The error is occuring because the file doesn't contain a valid 32bit OR 64bit Windows executable header. Because it doesn't have a valid header, windows assumes the executable must be intended for either Windows 16 or DOS, neither of which is supported under x64 so it reports that error.

For those of you 'redownloading with IE or without a download manager', you are wasting your time. The issue isn't with how you download it, the issue is with the executable itself.

It's not 64-bit windows problem. I can't even open the damn thing with 7zip, I just downloaded 1,5GB worth of crap.

On 64bit Win7.  I see that the .exe is missing its ME2 .ico file.  Compile error by bioware?

My first reaction to reading the 64 bit issues was an out loud 'OH COME ON!!'



Think that sums it up. Seriously, months of preparation, and now most PC users can't even play it on release. I'm assuming there are two installers, one for 32bit systems and one for 64bit systems, and we've been given the 32bit one? Or is it a bugged installer?
