Accidents can be mitigated with even the most rudimentary level of planning and forethought. In this specific case much of the annoyance and impatience is because this is the case.

I find it suspect and incredibly unusual that they would upload the completed DLC file to their servers the day of release. Especially considering for full retail releases these things go gold and are off to print weeks if not months in advance.

I know it is hardly fair to compare apples to apples a digital download and hard copy media, but the underlying principles of distribution and preparation are the same. Even more so is that the Xbox 360 version is out now and works without a problem. And that has an extra layer of QA and assessment to go through before being offloaded to Microsoft. What I'm saying is that a third party was more capable of releasing BioWare's content than BioWare themselves.

I'm not saying it was deliberate, or intentional complacancy or even ineptitude. I'm saying that a response of annoyance, impatience and anger is entirely acceptable in this instance. It won't change anything, nor will it rush the solution to the problem. But it does cement this error in BioWare QA history, if anything reducing the chance of it happening in the future. BioWare stand to make a lot of money off of this content, for a much smaller cost than a full retail title. The profit margins are much higher but the implementation is seemingly less important. That's reason to be annoyed.

geez is that really necesary? keep in mind its the first day this dlc was released and anything new ( including game systems) tend to have some form of setback on day one.

If it was the first DLC, I'd agree, but they've had time to get the science right by now. They should have had this ready weeks ago. Although, I think they have had this ready, like I said I think it's a server issue not an installer source file issue.

also dont forget yesterday was a holiday..... i think pc users need to be patient because demanding demanding and demanding will not fix anything
