4. Does the Illusive Man actually talk to you, or does he just e-mail you?

That would require getting Martin Sheen, which is probably out of the budget for a DLC. Bioware probably try to keep these things relatively in-house, using voice actors they have a continuous relationship with. Mark Meer and Jen Hale have been in a ton of Bioware/VG stuff, same as Ali Hillis. Others, like Carrie-Anne Moss, Yvonne Strahovski, and Keith David, while not huge stars, probably require a bit more resources to acquire. I don't even think they've used Seth Green in DLC (remember that horrid computer voice in BDtS?), and he seems the kind of guy that would probably do it just for his love of Sci-Fi (and a realitively low wage, of course).

In short, no email or conversation from TIM comes up but the Intel comes from cerberus intel.

People wondering when the big moment happens where they can move from speculation to spoilerrific discussion: Bioware plans to release the DLC for the PC at 10 a.m. MST. XBox will release the DLC for the console on their own schedule, which traditionally has been before the PC release.

I was somewhat disappointed with it, not necessarily the short length of it (honestly, I expected that, I automatically take Bioware time and divide it by 2 to keep my expectations in check) but the actual content. The DLC starting with today's and on are supposed to be bridges into 3, but it really didn't have a whole lot to do with the future other than the POSSIBILITY of Liara helping you in 3 by giving out information.

It was basically just fan service for Liara people and the wierdos who obsess over love interests. Very story-lite, like the rest of ME2. What was there outside of the story department was fun though, don't get me wrong. I enjoyed some of the dossiers, most specifically Legion's gamer stats :P

Do you live in Eastern Europe? If so, you'll probably never get it.

I'd just like to be able to play it at least for a little bit...preferably before I have to go to work.

It was basically just fan service for Liara people and the wierdos who obsess over love interests.

Oh, sweetie.  The denial required for someone who is into video games enough to post about his disappointment on an internet forum, to turn around and call 'shippers "weirdos," is quite significant.  Society lumps you in with the rest of us, brah.  ;)

Anyway, back on topic, I can't wait to play the DLC, and I'm steeling myself for Liara's backseat driving.  Glad it's getting mostly great reviews!

I'm even more impressed now: just played the DLC with a Shep who romances Thane, and got romance-specific content for that, too!

SPOILERS!!!

A reference in a dialogue and a long love/farewell letter from Thane.

END OF SPOILERS!!!

I can't wait to play the DLC with Shepards who romanced other LIs. Very cool, BioWare! <3

Obsessing over sleeping with a virtual character is very wierd, most people would agree.  I'm not accusing any 1 person or anything, just saying it felt like this DLC was made for them, and not for people who care about the overall story.  It's the exact reason why I expressed concern for a Kaidan/Ashley DLC in the related thread, that it would get sidetracked into trying to sleep with them again instead of focusing on progressing the main story forward.

It was good DLC and it was little bit suprising to see who Shadow Broker really was.

If I'm not mistaken, but didn't Donovan Hock got one statue in that big room that look just like Shadow Broker's species... "The Yahg"?

No new level ups, but it's good that you can now re-arrange your squadmates powers. Nice to see that there's also something else after you kill Shadow Broker...

Looking forward next DLC...

i dunno, i played it for the story and i thought it really brings variety of locations and the potential of Biowares imagination and vision to the front, plus Im liking the fact that from everything we've gathered so far shows that Shepard has some powerful friends now. Plus Liara mentions she can start a war in ten minutes im sure she can unify people in the same time with the amount of power she has. a major plot point for ME3 hopefully. I feel it was made for people who like story and continuity.

oops missing quote marks :/ (shrug)

No, that was an Ogre from Dragon Age. I could see how you'd mistake the two, though, as their silhouettes are pretty much the same.

Space Ogre.
