I assume that are certain parts of the story that are there regardless of your choices...i.e. whether or not you romance Tali, you still made a significant impression on her and she is curious - Kelly as much confirms this already in game, if you pay attention to all the dialogues about crew members (at least true with male characters, don't remember if it is with female character's or not)...so it makes sense to me that if she is curious, she would want to learn how to "court" you, even if you don't act on it.

Okay I need your opinions. I broke up with Miranda cuz, OH WAIT!!!! Spoiler alert!!!!!!!, I found out she can't have kids. Am I wrong for that?

I've only romanced Miranda once in all my playthroughs but I found the whole dating site thing more creepy than the kid stuff.

There was also some correspondence between Hackett and someone else referring to my femshep as "he."

That's a bug. There was a version with the correct pronoun but unfortunately it doesn't look like it was properly triggered in-game. Apology to all the fem-sheps.

No worries. ;)  I figured it was a bug.

I loved Hackett's response. Sender writes massive letter. Hackett - "Request Denied".

it could be a very small connection but they said this would start to bridge the game between the 2 games well then where is any of that at. like the one guy said this does nothing to add to the main story of the 2 games.

Nothing to--for crying out loud, the Shadow Broker has been built up over the course of two games and a four-issue comic book miniseries, and the end conclusion is that Shepard now has the galaxy's biggest, bestest intel network on his side in the fight against the Reapers. How is that "nothing?"

I was going by previous precedent, incidentally. In the first game, we only actually saw batarians once, during "Bring Down the Sky." Batarians are all over the place in ME2. In ME2, we've only seen the Shadow Broker's race once, in Lair of the Shadow Broker. So I won't be surprised if they make a strong showing in ME3.

Besides, y'all expect too much. They said they'd "start" bridging the gap between ME2 and ME3. That doesn't have to be massive in-yo-face LOOK AT ME I'M A PLOT POINT bridging the gap. Lair of the Shadow Broker provides two potentially important set-ups for possible relevant plot threads in ME3--the new race of aliens, Liara's new position as the Shadow Broker, both of these could play big roles in the next game. If you were expecting some grand revelation about the Reapers... this is Lair of the Shadow Broker. Seriously, what were you expecting?

Not sure how everyone else looks at this, but seems to me that they have set-up the Intel Center to be a major hub...think about all the things that you do from there - find minerals, make investments, influence galatic politics, research upgrades, train team members, look at intel...if that is not having an impact on the game, I am not sure what would (by the way did I miss anything).

the one video of Anderson meeting with a Cerberus agent is telling and leads to my theory that the alliance and Cerberus are one in the same.

There's a possibility that the Cerberus guy was a spy for the Alliance, mind you. We know that Anderson is no fan of Cerberus, hell, there's a book dedicated to him being a royal pain in the Illusive Man's ass.

Anyone else bummed that we didn't get Tela's armor at the end of the mission?

I loved the look of her armor.  Shep definitely would have looked great in it.

I absolutely loved this DLC.  The boss battle with Tela was great, as was the fight with the Shadow Broker.  The new race reveal for the Shadow Broker was cool; I really expected the Broker to be some sort of AI...I'm glad I was wrong.  I also thought the little perks after Liara becomes the Shadow Broker are great, especially the character respec.

I'm also glad I could reconcile with Liara.  She was quite mean to me at first, accusing me of trying to replace a dying man's wife, but she got over it and gave Shep some azure.

Yeah I expected an A.I too, not some six-eyed humanoid ogrefish with devil horns in a business suit... who knew? :o

Agreed. Not sure how you come away from playing this DLC and think that it won't have an impact on ME3.

Ok -- one thing is bugging me, apparently there are more videos to be viewed, more investments to be made and more minerals to claim from my investing in a planet. But the thing is I can't do it because for some reason you need to go on a mission first. Well, I've got no more missions to do :(

I'm sure somebody posted this already, but it mentions Legion's game username as Infiltrat0rN7. I created the Xbox 360 account with that name, and if anyone from BioWare (devs, writers, whatever) wants ownership of it for whatever legal/marketing purpose, I'll happily pass along the account to them.

Didn't register it on PSN, though, so that's probably still up for grabs.

then Bioware should have kept their mouth shut about this being a bridge between ME 2 and 3 bullsh*t  when all it really is stupid fan service. thats true but now maybe the Liara fans can STFU

We also have the introduction of an entirely new alien race. That's a possible connection to ME3 right there. If the Shadow Broker himself is any indication, they could play a significant role in ME3. Who knows? One of the major story locations might even be their homeworld.

Oh, you already know the main story of ME3? Please enlighten us.

I was amazed that Vasir had such a cavalier attitude...I guess I shouldn't have expected more from a SPECTRE, but she seemed a little more like Saren that I expected - that being the ends justifying the means type...of course I say that predominatly playing as a paragon myself...

the main story of ME 3 should be about the reapers. since they are the main enemy in the ME franchise. but hey this new alien race from this dlc would make for a cool sub plot.

It seems that Mass Effects main theme is daddy issues, rather than Reapers.

I have not been able to view any new videos, investments or pick-ups but after mining two of the planet locations that I "bought", there were replacements available at the intel center.

Kind of par for the course with Spectres to some degree or another. Even Nihlus apparently was willing to kill an unarmed civilian (and to put innocents in danger to escape the enraged justicar who set out to kill him to avenge said injustice).

You have no idea how this could possibly tie in.  I'm sure ME3 WILL be about the Reapers, but that doesn't mean there aren't other characters, places, things, avenues of exploration that will be DIRECTLY related to them.  We're not supposed to know what the plot to ME3 is yet.  Saying you know this doesn't tie in is just ridiculous.  They told us it would start to bridge that gap.  There's not anything else to know except that.

And how the hell is this not linked to ME 3? Don't be a wise-ass. Liara / The Shadow Broker's intel could have some very big ramifications for your fight against the Reapers.

The reapers should be the main story...but we can assume that we will have other story arcs to finish (the main question being is it handled in bridging DLC or ME3 itself)...for example, the Quarian/Geth conflict.

I'm not really sure why it's working for some femsheps but not others myself.

Never fear: You can view more videos right away by exiting then re-entering the stronghold, and the time-sensitive terminals are triggered by completing missions OR by waiting 24-hours.

EDIT: By 24-hours I apparently mean next calendar day. Christina's the one to listen to on this. :)
