Anyone know how soon in game you can access the DLC...I have only played through with post-SM Shepard...does it change what is available in the intel center?

A matriarch twice in a week?

You'll have to have unlocked Illium so it's after Horizon.

Nothing to--for crying out loud, the Shadow Broker has been built up over the course of two games and a four-issue comic book miniseries, and the end conclusion is that Shepard now has the galaxy's biggest, bestest intel network on his side in the fight against the Reapers. How is that "nothing?"

I was going by previous precedent, incidentally. In the first game, we only actually saw batarians once, during "Bring Down the Sky." Batarians are all over the place in ME2. In ME2, we've only seen the Shadow Broker's race once, in Lair of the Shadow Broker. So I won't be surprised if they make a strong showing in ME3.

Besides, y'all expect too much. They said they'd "start" bridging the gap between ME2 and ME3. That doesn't have to be massive in-yo-face LOOK AT ME I'M A PLOT POINT bridging the gap. Lair of the Shadow Broker provides two potentially important set-ups for possible relevant plot threads in ME3--the new race of aliens, Liara's new position as the Shadow Broker, both of these could play big roles in the next game. If you were expecting some grand revelation about the Reapers... this is Lair of the Shadow Broker. Seriously, what were you expecting?

  




I was hoping for a ME 2 story dlc that had some connection to either the collectors or the reapers. but hey at least the Liara fans can stop their whining

This is a really neat feature, it's great.

Guys, ME3 can't be entirely just about the Reapers any more than Dragon Age: Origins was entirely about the darkspawn. More likely--like Dragon Age--you'll spend a good amount of time resolving things like the geth/quarian tensions in an effort to unite the galaxy against the Reaper threat, or something along those lines. Hell, ME1 and ME2 seem to have been setting up for such a scenario.

Like I said, it's Lair of the "Shadow Broker." And don't say you expected the Shadow Broker to be a Reaper or a Collector, that would have been frickin' horrible.

Oh yeah!  My femshep who stayed loyal to Liara really layed on the charm and flirted up a storm.  She wasn't taking "no" for an answer.

I really enjoyed it overall, especially as the Shadow Broker Base might as well be renamed Shepard's Base from now on. I also liked how they had the personal stuff on Squadmates and how some of it was light hearted like Grunt's stuff but Miranda's intel was more hard hitting. I was especially taken back by the news of her infertility. But overall a solid 9/10 and the chase sequence was alot of fun.

Does this DLC prove the matriach serving drinks with the long name is at least related to Liara? You know, in the vids she's looking at a picture of her, or what seems to be her.

Man, I loved this DLC, and the romance continuation was suprisingly good, though could've been improved. Legion's gamer dossier was funny, and Garrus' background info was interesting, among the others.

How do you know it's not connected to the Collectors or Reapers?  See you're not paying attention to what anyone is writing back to you about this.

I've only romanced Miranda once in all my playthroughs but I found the whole dating site thing more creepy than the kid stuff.

I totally agree its fan service and now maybe all the Liara fans can shut the hell up. they all whined like a bunch of cry babies about her role in ME 2 so instead of Bioware telling a story that connects ME 2 to ME 3 they decided to do stupid fan service the action was goo and Shepard beating the hell out of the Shadow Broker with his fist  was cool but other than that it does nothing for the ME 2 storyline or connect to ME 3

Im in agreement as well. I was slightly disappointed when liara took over as the shadow broker. I was hoping for her as a squadmate in ME 3. Now Bioware is either going to have to do some serious story writing to make her a squadmate or just make her that ally on a datapad that gives you information.

Does every LI have a special bit about Shepard? For instance, I romanced Thane, and in his dossier there was a letter to her meant to be read after his death.

I still think Liara is going to join the squad in me3, he will propably have Feron taking his place as shadow broker for that while. Devs didn't make her survive the suicide mission so she could sit on her as in the third game, that would be a major cop out.
