Awesome DLC! Loved the banter between Liara and Shepard.

Like others, the Specter was a Vanguard vs Vanguard fight and was awesome. (Though I was very biotic heavy with Vanguard!Shep, Miranda and Samara then Liara for the DLC)

I also keep getting the glitch after asking Liara to come to the Normandy. I had a save shortly before the SB fight and after the first game crash made another after, but three times it's crashed out on loading the Normandy.

Lol at Garrus' Music choices in his visor:

4)"Hurt Me Deeper"(Best of Expel 10, dance mix)

5)"Blue Azure"(Vaenia, soundtrack)

The whole Dossier-terminal is hilarious.

I LMAO that Grunt's showed that he bought the Vaenia video(s)

Shepard grabs Liara and kisses her. No paragon points are rewarded but things sparkle.

Where exactly did this happen :o I must've missed this too.

Right after Liara 'takes over' and she's talking about how things have changed in the two years but before you both aproach the big terminal. Might be dependant on if you romanced her in ME1 and remained loyal to her by that point.

GREAT piece of DLC, this is DLC done right. The Dragon Age stuff is lacking but the ME2 team keep making great content.

I especially loved the very cinematic action on Ilium and the Blade Runner feel of it, along with that brighter and more vibrant ME look. The way the combat scenarios were presented made the actual combat very intense and fun. The DLC was not hard on normal, but I could tell that my insanity character will have a lot of trouble with it, which is a GOOD thing! The ending was epic due to the premier of a new species that is very impressive from a design standpoint.

All in all it was honestly a 10 out of 10 on a DLC scale. Great, great stuff and thank you for making it.

Alright, first off, a superb DLC. Dialogue is great, though I still miss the team members comments (esp. Tali and Garrus of course, at least I got a comment by the SB about Legion). Nevertheless, what is there is great, Liara becomes more understandable, the asari spectre is a great character IMO, a great reflection of Shepard, working with a shady organization.

I was a little disappointed by the SB, I have to admit. Making him just another monstrous alien was a bit lame IMO. It'd have been great if it would have been s group of people, some of which you even know (like a counselor, the volus or elcor ambassador from ME1, the consort or others). But the fight was very well done and making Liara the new SB was a great ending. Also I love the information hub with the dossiers about team and other, some great fun in there (Grunts search for the Tyrannosaurus Wrex, etc :)).
Also the locations (outer hall of the ship, Illium Hotel etc) and the gameply/pacing were really well done.
So all in all a great peace of DLC

Very well said, totally agree. Was really disappointed to see that SB is just another alien. Also, we should really be able to at least partially separate ourselves from cerberus after/if we blew the base sky high, kinda weird everyone thinks we are still working for them.

On the hostage scene, my character, lvl 30, with a full paragon and around 40% renegade score, was unable to use any of the charm/intimidate options, which is really weird(a bug maybe ).

I didn't romance Liara in any of my ME1 playthroughs, but this DLC was still fantastic, and I still grinned like a little kid when Liara became the new Shadow Broker. In my current playthrough, I haven't done the Suicide Mission yet, so that made the reminiscing scene on the Normandy all the more heartwrenching for my Shepard, who's trying to do the right thing but deeply misses his SR1 companions who aren't along for the ride.

I will say this, after seeing Tela Vasir's armor, I wish there was an option to at least include the Spectre logo on Shep's. (for those who chose reinstatement, plus, it would make more sense for those who do, or don't know he/she is one)

I dont know about others, but i loved the introduction of this, de facto super species.

The Yahg seem incredibly formidable. A krogan, salarian, and batarian all together, and better than them all. A possible post-reaper threat? Or perhaps theyll be more involved in ME3?

Regardless, slaying my first one ever was a blast, with how the fight was set up.

A Very surprising, and welcomed twist, as far as my opinion goes.

Vasir kind of has a point. Shep may be through w/ them, fought TIM the whole time and ultimately blew up the Collector base, but s/he didn't just get up and leave (not that the game lets you).  Shep may not want to admit it on the surface, but s/he knows she worked w/ bad guys to get the job done.

Vasir and the game didn't make any distinction between working with people who have done bad things and CHOOSING to do bad things yourself.  Shepard isn't as much like her as she wanted to pretend.

I'd have liked to be able to call BS on her in the game, but it's good - *I* know the difference.

I'm curious too, but, IIRC, the drone made some comments, I think, about some of them, I'll have to play it again, to be sure.

It could be, a part of, the "ongoing benefits", Christina has hinted.

The "investments" terminal refreshes so that when you visit again it shows the results of the investments you funded and offers you new options. My first visit I chose all options, with mixed results. The second batch had 2 options that I chose not to fund, as I didn't want to get involved with a couple of things that were either distasteful or likely to end REALLY badly.

I'm hoping that the unused options scroll off so you're not forced to fund things to get new choices.

When you leave, do a mission, and come back, you'll receive a small text on how the mission went and some money. Nothing else, as far as I can tell.

Come back "tomorrow"--i.e. either the next IRL calandar day, or after completing another mission--and you get a mission report on any investment missions you ordered in the Shadow Broker's HQ.

Not a bug, it uses the same system that decides if you can use the Paragon or Renegade decision for the Jack/Miranda and Tali/Legion conflict.

Regardless of that, if your paragon/renegade meter is full then you can still use the option.  Ive gotten to the point where I just use the Paragon/Renegade exploit at the beginning of the game so that I dont have to worry about those few "circumstances" lol.

The game sometimes locks out Paragon or Renegade options if your morality choices haven't been consistent enough. It also happens with Samara and Morinth, I think.

Actually, those "investments" are based off of your console's clock....Meaning it's based off of "real life time" and not a "visit by visit" basis.  Go into your console, set the clock ahead a day, and then come back and youll have your results quicker Image IPB

No, that's not what it tracks.  It simply keeps a running total of all available Paragon and Renegade points.  Each persuasion has a fixed percentage associated with it, and the game applies that to the current total available points to get the actual amount of Paragon/Renegade you need to use any given option.  Yes, if you do a lot flip-flopping between the two, you will have trouble eventually, but that's just a consequence of the way the system is designed.

Great piece of DLC - my shepard was a vanguard, so I was able to chase down Vasir - but playing on insanity like I usually do - it took me like 10 minutes just to get her kinetic barriers down. :o

Also - this DLC is only great if you have Liara as a romantic interest. ie. My female shepard was with Liara in ME1, and was loyal to her in ME2 - so the banter/dialogue between them was great.

I however did a quick run-through with my male/renegade shepard (who is with Tali) - it lacked the greatness of my female/love interest one (wither it was due to the voice acting or the love interest aspect, I don't know). Anyway what I'm saying is - this DLC will probably seem medicore for shepards who have no vested interest in Liara. But my female sheperad did, so I'm glad I kept her loyal. :)

Also love the Shdow broken base - the video archive hub at the back room is laugh-out-loud funny.  [smilie]../../../images/forum/emoticons/w00t.png[/smilie]
(ie Khalisah al-Jilani loves a bit of Asari, but also gets her ass kicked by a volus and punched in the face by a krogan) :D

Please tell me bioware that you plan to expand on the shadow broker base features in future DLC.

yeah i did but the one with Anderson meeting with a Cerberus operative is more telling

This was the biggest moment for me (seriously, lol). Why is Anderson meeting with a Cerberus agent on the Citadel? I've recently read Retribution, and apart from him meeting with Kahlee on the Citadel, I don't remember him meeting with anyone from Cerberus (I thought it might have been a nice tie-in to the novels, but I don't think so).

Anderson's a dark horse – Kaidan's photo on his desk; Armistan Banes - involved in the cover up maybe?; meeting Cerberus on the Citadel – what's he up to? I really hope BW throw us a curve ball in ME3 regarding that. The fans love Anderson, and I think it'd be awesome to mess with us and give him a darker side :D
