Lair of the Shadow Broker Discussion (Spoiler Warning!)

My Shepard stayed with Tali for the time being, but damn if he didn't feel cut up about leaving Liara after the DLC. "Come back soon Liara" - pretty much echoed what I thought he would be thinking, and what I was thinking.

Combat\\\\Gameplay - I'd always wanted a
"Vanguard duel" involving charging around after each other for my
Vanguard - I was gleeful that Bioware delivered on that. I found the
combat to be a little too easy on Insanity til we were boarding the SB's
ship, then it kicked my butt a couple of times. Enemies seemed a little
bit smarter which is great, but that may have just been Liara giving
them too many combat tips...
That was fun. "My charge stronger than your charge".
Good
balance between dialogs and fighting and dialogs, Bioware. Humor also
was good. Beatifull cinematic scenes, but my Shepard again forgot that
he is a biotic. [smilie]../../../images/forum/emoticons/uncertain.png[/smilie]
At last someone asked Shepard what he thinks about all this crap.
Also
this secret missions which you can give have potential but they should
have dialogs or it could be boring (I'm talking about ME3).
And again - great job, keep this.

I liked the atmosphere and having Liara back in the squad, even for a bit.
I hadn't noticed at first that you could level her up and I wondered why she had only 1 power.
Of course as lovely as Liara is and being my ME1 romance, Tali is my favorite and I liked that Liara approved.
Although I expected a stronger reaction or something for cheating on her on ME2.
I wonder what will happen to Kaiden/Ashley cheaters in a future DLC.
Since we have one romance option from ME1 revisited, it's a safe bet we'll have that other one too.
The car chase scene was over too fast, but had some nice dialogue.
Punching the Shadow Broker felt nice too. I wish Shepard would show his close combat prowess more times in the story.
I liked all the post-mission goodies we got.
And the little videos were fun. Especially seeing Al-Jilani get hit by a volus and sent flying by a krogan.

Oh yeah, that one was priceless too.

One thing that I would like to see out of future DLCs is more dialouge out of your squadmates not just shep. I kinda found it weird with them just standing around speechless while something monumental is happening right in front of them.
Yeah, but it would be kind of hard to get all of them for 6 or so lines.

I loved all the banter between Liara and Shep too nespeciLly the car chase, lol. Too often your squadmates just sit there quietly and I like Liara freaking out lol. Plus her "giving the bad guys tips" was excellent! Good dialogue, great voice acting, good fighting, and beautiful as always!
I'm sad we didn't get some more skin shots of Liara, but after the ME1-Fox stink I'm not shocked. It did make me go and watch Liara's ME1 scene though! Lol.
I had Miri as my LI going in and my wife really liked the "little jumpsuit" comment lol. I opted to take Liara as a main LI, of course my Miri LI reset to "pre sex scene" after the collector base and I can't call her up to my room so not sure how bad it's gonna be.

My personal favorite part is Shepards' paragon response to the Spectre that has taken a civilian hostage, "Think about this, I'm the guy who let the Destiny Ascension fall, and watch the entire counsel die! Do you think I care about one hostage?", or somthing to this effect. Hardcore! Can't wait to play my renegade character and shoot the hostage.

Sadly this one can't really be resolved coz of financial reasons. The only way around it for DLC is to keep it focussed on one or two characters. I thought you had more then enough between Liara and Shepard to keep it feeling lively though: probably the best squad interaction during a mission so far.
I suppose one possible solution would be for Liara to be involved in a Kaiden/Ashley DLC so you had a whole team though.

I loved this download! I was disappointed that Tazzik wasn't in it, but I suspect that there were some copywrite issues that weren't worked out, so I can live with that. I loved the new music too! I've always felt that the suicide mission was my favorite part of the game, but this may supplant that. Also, the new chase seen was a different experience than what ME gamers are used to, and I hope to see that explored in the next game for ship-to-ship combat.

The paragon response changes around... I got the opposite where Shep said how he sent thousands of humans to die against Sovereign and how he unleashed the Rachni on the galaxy again. And then Liara decked Vasir with a table.
And then the charge spam was ONNNNN,

Off to play with my Vanguard Shep now. I can't wait to give that Asari Spectre a taste of her own medicine!
Played w/ my Vanguard last night. That was so f***ing cool!! Had a couple of head on collisions where we stormed straight at each other. The SB fight was cool and unique, but the Asari Vanguard was just so sweet.

now that bioware has shown its new fans how awesome liara is what they were missing out on in ME1, id really like to see one staring wrex. even tho its an impossible option for DLC id just like to to see what abilities youd give him.
if bioware takes what they have in ME2 and just adds an engaging even if its been done before story, then itll probably become the so called "best game ever" the combination of ME1 and ME2 make a great series start, but i really think bioware is gonna blow my ****ing socks off with ME3.

Ooo yes! Liara + Ash/Kaidan DLC would be awesome. I would love to hear all their banter!

There is one bit that kinda stinks with the DLC... I felt... biotically powerless during the cutscenes between Vasir and Liara going biotic awesome. Why can't Biotic Shepard do awesome stuff?

Shepard was good in close combat. Against that. The cybernetics really paid off.
My guess as to why Liara doesn´t get angry at being cheated on is she doesn´t know were the relationship is now. She says as much, about how those to years have changed her, and doesn´t know where Shepard stands. It´s clear she still loves Shepard, and was nice to see her as her own person rather than as "Shepard´s person" as the other LIs (meaning she has own goals in life). Played preSM it also gives the chance to cut the relationship, which should help some consciences. Although this being a DLC, it is also likely they left the conflict for ME3.

I absolutely loved it, i like the info that the SB keeps on his files about your team and the ways you have changed their lives. By the way Legion a mmo player!!!! and he cheats!!!!!
The idea I got is he had advantages an organic would need VI help to achieve. His Achievement list also says a few things about him. Nice.
Grunt´s reading Heamingway? And then looking up sharks?

I think he went "WTH is this crap?" and then went and looked up sharks since Old Man And The Sea bored him. But he learned about Sharks from it.
