First and foremost: THANK YOU BIOWARE!
Liar of the Shadowbroker was almost perfect! I had a great time playing it, best DLC so far!
To actually thank you with my wallet, I purchased the aegis and the firepower packs AFTER LotSB!!!
Loved the cut-scenes, the story, the emotions, the music...

I was never a big fan of Liara, my default Shepard dated her "by accident", first thing I did was dump her for Miranda and now I simply needed to see what will happen when they come back together... great stuff!

Now, here is something to consider...
ME2 is a RPG, right?
So it is a little bit anti cliamatic, to get tons of eMails of TiM, when you start a new game after having all DLC purchased...
What I believe would be a great DLC (or rather patch) is the option to play with the DLC integrated into the chronology of the game, here is how I think it could work:

--- SPOILERS AHEAD ----

  • Liar of the Shadowbroker - It feels most right POST suicide mission...
     - besides... if you ****** of TiM, you get your "base of operations" at said liar, if not you stay on Cerberus payroll... this would give gravity to the decision about destroying the collectors base... be with TiM or be with the new SB! Besides it is more believeable, when some time passes after you finish the original missions with Liara...
  • Normandy Crash Site : Post New Horizont
    - After you meet Ash/Kaiden on New Horizont, THEY inform Hackett you are still alive, so he CAN sent you the coordinates of the old Normandy.
  • Kasumi, Stolen Memory : Post first visit to Ilum
     - During your first visit to Ilum you hear the news about some thief called Kasumi, TiM should sent you the eMail after this (the nice clothes after finishing Kasumi mission)
  • Overlord : Random during recruiting missions, no need for continuity
  • Firewalker/Zaed : This one I feel neutral about... can be at the beginning, would even make sens to get a merc and a vehicle right from the start.
  • Cerberus weapons and armor/Arc Projector - It is Cerberus property, so can be right at the beginning
  • Collectors weapon and armor - Found on New Horizont or the collectors ship
  • Alternate appearence packs - after the respective loyality mission together with the default second dress
  • Any other DLC gear - rewards upon finishing missions or spread across the missions...
  • Any other story DLC - ME2 bridging ME3... PLZ :D ...
after LotSB... when with Cerberus, received from TiM, when against, then received from Liara!
After all this IS an RPG... and it could/should be an option, like:
  • NEW GAME with chronological DLC
  • NEW GAME with all DLC active from start
What do you people think?

Whoever wrote Mordin's STG mission report... this is absolute gold here. If ever given the opportunity, I would love to buy the writer several beverages of his/her choice!

Given that most of us have no idea what you two sound like and probably aren't aware of the giveaway in-joke or whatever, could you just tell us?

ETA: OK, got a wild-ass guess.  Were you two the ones freaking out in the bedroom at the Azure?

One thing that I would like to see out of future DLCs is more dialouge out of your squadmates not just shep.  I kinda found it weird with them just standing around speechless while something monumental is happening right in front of them.

I got a nice 'Keelah' from Tali and when the Shadow Broker mentioned Archangel, Garrus cocked his pistol :D

Now I'm wondering if the others have lines as well. It's worth the replay alright! But my Shepard doesn't have any ME2 LIs so I'll get my fix for that from YouTube.

I had Legion with me and the SB mentioned how "Cerberus underestimated his value on the market and would take advantage of it after killing Shep/Liara" or something to that affect, then Im not sure what happened if the SB disabled Legion or something as he was unavailable for the final fight.

Absolutely adored the whole thing.

I loved how it recognized the choices you'd made. For example, the charm option in the hostage situation has Shepard saying that he already sacrificed hundreds of humans to save the council and unleashed the Rachni again thus questioning whether she thinks one life matters to him (I'm pretty sure this persuade is tied to certain ME1 choices). That gave Vasir quite the shock  Seeing Liara biotically deck her with the table was just the icing on the cake.

I was disappointed in lack of a rebuke to the Cerberus remarks though. The neutral dialogue option where he says "Yes, but it doesn't matter" does not fit with my paragon Shep who hates what Cerberus did, as what they've done certainly does matter.
It's a minor thing, but after telling the Illusive Man where to shove it I would have liked such an option, particularly as the mission clearly favours post-SM completion.

Personally, as a devout Adept player I adore stasis. It gives the adept who is otherwise weak to shields (and thus despises the numerous engineers) something to lock down an enemy while you whittle down its friends, and enemies who've been stasis'd being ragdolled when it wears off is even better again.

The SB's ship was an awesome location too. The visuals were simply stunning. Halagaz has the most interesting look of any planet yet imo. Hope they do a lithograph of that at some point ^_^

And finally, having stayed loyal to Liara was so worth it. The conversation between her and Shepard on the Normandy was so heartfelt and genuine; I loved it. Shep saying "I really don't know how we're going to do this" is one the best lines in the game really, the way he says it, it's human.

One last thing: I liked the ME3 foreshadowing too, how Liara said the SB thought the Protheans may have left more than just the warning and the Conduit. That makes me excited to see what ME3 will bring.

One thing that I did like was that Liara asked ME how I was doing. I kind of wish the response we're better, but I guess this is a start.

We don't know what either of you sound like, so how exactly can we do that? You could possibly be any of the male voices in the DLC. That's why I asked, relax.

Good DLC. Haven't gamed much during the whole summer and haven't gone through Overlord yet, so I can't compare.

The bosses fights were awesome. The SB's ship and the amount/toughness of the guards seemed a bit of a letdown, though. Good final sequence Liara, even without romance. Oh, and as was mentioned, some of the vids and personal files were hilarious.

Had to play this one on the 360 with a default Shepard (only recently got the console version), but I gotta say, there's something insanely funny about bringing up how you killed a freakin species during a Paragon interrupt, lol.

I think it was a good DLC but somehow I liked Overlord a bit more. For me Lotsb felt a bit short. I don't know how to describe it. It's you get info about location of SB, inform Liara, get data back, travel to SB base and finish him of. Thought it would have been better if SB wasn't on the ship and you had to follow him to another location, before your confrontation with him.

But I liked all the new Liara stuff and that Liara fills in the role of an actual squadmate in this DLC.

And this is why i'd trust Bioware with my life if need be!

This DLC is simply beyond awesome, can barely imagine how much work you guys must have put into it! Without a doubt the best DLC to date!

Keep up the insanely great work Bioware! I'm with you all the way
