If you romanced Liara in ME1, you can brake up with her in the DLC, or choose to continue your relationship

Excellet DLC enjoyed it very much. I know you can play it anytime. However I played it after I beat the game because my feeling was Shep wouldn't take on someone powerful like the Shadow Broker at the same time as the Collectors.

I am not sure if it changes but Liara was my LI from ME1 and my FemShep didn't cheat on her and told her I wasnted to continue our relationship despite the time. Was awesome reconnecting with her in my cabin. It was cool to be able to vent my frustrations to her when she asked how I was. Really the first time in the two games anyone really asked how Shep was really feeling. Because you know Shep has to be start feeling the stress of the entire situation. Also I don't know if matters if you do the DLC before you beat the Suicide MIssion but in my cabin Liara did make reference to me and my team destroying the Collector base not sure if that changes depending on if you beat the suicide mission or not.

It was great actually seeing some real emotion from my FemShep and that she got to stop worrying about the fate of the galaxy for at least one night and got to spend time with the person she loves. Also with Liara now being the Shadow Broker, Shep doesn't really even need the Alliance, Cerberus or the Council to give her mission funding or equipment, Also TIM won't be much of a threat to Shep now becuase of having the full resources of the Shadow Broker behind her

Once again great DLC and can't wait to see how ME3 turns out especially with the Shadow Broker on our side..

Played w/ my Vanguard last night.  That was so f***ing cool!! Had a couple of head on collisions where we stormed straight at each other.  The SB fight was cool and unique, but the Asari Vanguard was just so sweet. 

Heavy charge plus geth shotgun to the face = WIN!!!

Oh, and I  played with my soldier yesterday and it was the first time I used the Mattock rifle.  Tbat weapon is devastating!!!!  Almost too much so.... but what fun it was!

Then if we're not even coming close, why not reveal it? This seems to me like you're trying carry it on for pages or something. Just tell us already.

Nope, I think it shows that Nyxeris mission as "Completed" in the journal after you tell Liara about the Broker.

I didn't know the Cerberus news updates take my computer's date as reference. I noted this because i change the date so i can have the results of the missions in the Shadow Broker base and the news updated too ( i think it could be wiser to use a server date for updating the news).



Did someone else changed his PC date to avoid waiting one day to get the rewards in the Shadow Broker base?

I regretted getting AR training for my adept (expected Revenant) up until Mattock. This DLC is the only time I run out of amno for it on a regular basis, so it didn´t feel as overpowered as in the main campaign.

I had miranda with me and I think he said;

"I see you've brought Commander Shepard and Ms Lawson. Both their deaths will affect Cerberus."

What happened to my Kelly and my Jack LI saves? I had multiple saves for LI with Liara, Miranda, Tali, Jack and Kelly, and kelly and Jack went away. Did anyone else notice this?



The ability to retrain the squad is awesome. I just need to think thru what I would change. Turning off any "squad ammo" choices for squad members is a must. Can anyone provide a link regarding opinions on the best squad training choices? I have a few ideas for my favorite players.



Can anyone confirm when the LotSB mission shows up, is it AFTER the completion of the Collector base/end of the original game?



I'm looking forward to if the LotSB investments continue to pay credits or if it's a one time thing. Same with the Package Pick Up terminal next to Liara.



Only thing I really miss as far a ME2 DLC, was the shooting gallery of Pinnacle Station, where you could go in and practice/test various setups.



I really wonder what BioWare has planned for ME2.

Awesomeness. I am very satisfied with this. Quick question tho.. what else is there to do after defeating the Shadow Broker? Because I read somewhere that there is more to do but I'm not finding anything other than buying a few things.

The answer is: not really. I had Liara as a romance in ME1 and switched to Thane in ME2. Half way through the mission, in one of the interrupts Liara mentions that I'm "trying to replace a dying man's wife", obviously a reference to the relationship with Thane. So at this point she knows about it.

However after the mission I was able to trigger the romance scene with Liara. The dialog leading up to it even included a line that was something like "I know you're not with anyone at the moment". I guess Liara forgot about Thane? Or did I dump Thane without realizing it? 

To make it even more confusing, after the romance scene Thane still thinks my Shep is in a relationship with him, and Liara's picture in Shep's office is still turned down. So I really don't know what's going on.

I'm leaning towards thinking this is a bug, or at least bad writing.

The Shadow Broker thanked me for delivering the Geth,  because Cerberus didn't understand its value.

There is no doubt that something horrid is going to occur between the Shepard/Liara joining and Cerberus.

There's no way those two can co-exist as they were enemies with the Shadow Broker in terms of how was the better --- shall we say in our time's terms --- CIA? I mean that's pretty much what the SB is --- a CIA/NSA type organization. I'm guessing Liara would have the cunning to make a alternative means to bypass them if Shepard should have to choose ( Hopefully he won't..it would probably mean death then).

Interesting plot to play with though... one hand... you have Civil War on your hands while the Reaper Invasion is still comming...or you join forces and hopefully one of you gets taken out during the process! Got to love Spy vs Spy games!


But let us ponder something...

Do you really think that TMI would simply re-create Shepard and not hide some nasty genetic code device within him --- sort of like what Fox Dye was to Solid Snake?  I mean its not too far away from consideration knowing that he's automatically paranoid --- and who is to say that despite Miranda having relations that she isn't part of the program?  Its something to ponder indeed.  I know...if I was TMI... thats exactly what I would have done...not only that, I would also have an internal  AI that would at some point take over the SR2 and decommission it if they should become a little too Rouge for my liking let alone some disabling device within Shepards body as insurance.

I mean the man is just like the Shadow Broker, its not like you can't see him doing this sort of thing.

The Shadow Broker threatens Thane's son if you bring Thane along with you.  Just the usual I have agents on the citadel and you'd be sensible to recognise this.

Dunno about the Jack stuff but Kelly is just an easter egg really, it doesn't affect your LI. I've had Kelly a couple of times and Ashley's picture is still in my cabin as opposed to when I started a relationship with Miranda and it got removed (didn't save this). So I doubt Kelly affects the Liara stuff.

Anyways I loved this DLC, kinda dissapointed I didn't get the chance to cheat with Liara but oh well I probably wouldn't have anyways. I couldn't cheat on Ashley with Miranda in my 'canon' runthrough, so I probably wouldn't have here either. I'm so sad
